Sympathy for the Devil (2023) | Lighting & Cinematography Breakdown with DP Steven Holleran
Фильм және анимация
Sympathy for the Devil (2023) starring Nicholas Cage. Shot by Steven Holleran. #LitbyAputure
DP @StevenHolleran talks about how he started in the industry as an adventurer and documentary filmmaker. He loved the camera and the great outdoors, and it translates to his narrative filmmaking and care towards building realistic environments. That's why he spent countless days on the Vegas strip and outer-city roads studying the color of neon lights and street lights to integrate into the look of the movie. It's especially important as he was working on a virtual production stage for the first time in his career. He needed to consider everything, from the plates to the car movement to, of course, the lighting. In this breakdown, you're going to learn everything from the components of building realistic lighting for a moving car on a virtual production stage to shooting day-for-night for a retro diner scene.

Absolutely nailed it! Mr. Steven Holleran's lighting breakdowns are pure cinematic magic. 🌟 I'm usually more of a Netflix-and-chill type, but now I'm ready to camp out at the cinema for this flick! 😂 And hats off to Mr. Steven for his story about not giving up on his cinematography dreams. Let's be real, the American Film Industry is like trying to find a unicorn in a haystack, but that's what makes it exciting. 🎬 Keep shining, Steven! ✨
