    I have one (Belgium) and i absolutely love it. Indeed, the mirrors are too much placed inward but you get to live with it. Just pull you elbow inwards a bit. But i think they've place the mirrors that way so yo can filter easily. And, off course, those HUGE led's makes you visible from a distance (with the four hazard lights on) I don't use it on the highway for a long trip unless i see the chance to position myself behind a truck (from a safe distance off course) The acceleration is very good and i often surprise the big motor bikers when the traffic lights turns green. The buddy (under the seat) is indeed very big and the light is helpful in the dark. Wind protection from the screen is also very good and the 'heater' even works without that hideous looking leg bag. Negative points: well, besides from the mirrors, not really. I didn't liked the matt black so i've bought the shiny black version. Cleaning all those little corners can be hard sometimes. So i've bought a dust cover when it's parked in my garage since i don't use it when it's raining...hehe...oh, one minor point...no kickstarter. That would have been handy when i had a flat battery. (forgot to disconnect the battery during winter storage) but i have solved it with a trickle charger now. Plus points: Nifty in the city. Nice looking scooter and an eye catcher. Very comfortable seat position. Sufficient storage space. USB and lighter power sockets are handy for charging the phone while driving. Oh...and it's called a Joymax 125i over here instead of a GTS. Don't know why though.... Hope this was helpful. Cheers. Btw: i liked this review. Looking forward to watch the rest of them. And i subscribed....

    I am the proud owner of one of these. I live in Cape Town, South Africa, and there is nothing better to tour the Western Cape on it: the winelands with it’s estates, quaint towns, mountain ranges, seaside roads, etc. Mine is the 300i GTS EVO and it cruises beautifully on the freeways at 120 km/h with plenty of speed left to overtake. As fas as I know these scooters are manufactured in Taiwan.

    Nice review Cager! I really like your unbiased reviews. When I started scooting I went right away for the SYM as it is indeed one of the best brands in the market that doesnt cost you a kidney. About the 125 the only thing I can point out is that the engine is not very linear. A bit lack of power in the low revs but it soon picks up. Other than that great bike! Even tho I have the 300 (which as I told you, you can test drive it), if I didn't had my drivers licence I would definetly get the 125. Take care and keep it up.

    They don't sell the GTS125 in the US. They do sell the 300 (262cc) and 200 (171cc) which have 16 inch rims and go 120kmp to 131kmp. In California the Vespa scooters are the most popular. I like Kymco because they still sell scooters with kick starters. Same goes for my old motorcycle. I love a bike with a backup kick starter.

  • @jaeneke

    They are normally sold over whole of europe because of the same law about when you have a car drivers license you can ride 'motorcycles' up to 125cc and 11kw or 15hp. The reason why they are relatively expensive(also in the used market) is because of what i say above. Almost everybody has a drivers license and thus you can drive small MC's without the hassle of getting your MC license, therefore the 125's are more expensive so they can make more profit.

  • @pont0n

    Ha, I'm not going anywhere Cager :) Thanks again for reviewing another 125! It is sold in Poland, however on special request. As I mentioned earlier, we will have new law in Poland, allowing cat. B owners drive 125's. It's huge "125 rush" here. Almost all 125s in dealers' stock are sold-out. :)

  • @haligabi
    @haligabi10 жыл бұрын

    It is in sales in Hungary (because you asked in the video). It’s nearly invisible mainly because the Hungarian motorcycle market went through on a huge falling. From 2004 to 2012 the market fell more than by 80%! It has been starting to grow slowly in 2013, but only 1895 bikes has been sold comparing to more than 12000 in 2004. So all-in-all SYM sales seem to invisible in the low market. By the way traditionally Honda leads the sales top list in the Hungarian motorcycle market.

  • @haligabi

    @haligabi

    10 жыл бұрын

    CagerOnTwoWheels Almost. The main reason is an economic downturn, but there are more complex issues behind this huge market recession. First of all for an average Hungarian motorcycling is a hobby rather than a mean of transport. And when you have less money you try to save on your hobby first. More and more people buy scooters, but these are usually used craps imported from other countries, so these not generate new sales. Motorcycling is also a very seasonal hobby in Hungary due to weather conditions, although the climate change “helps” to extend the season nowadays. Normally it is common to measure -15 degrees or lower during winter.

    I don't think It's that Americans hate scooters, it's that they don't serve a good niche here. I know here in Colorado you need a motorcycle endorsement to ride anything above 50cc (not sure about other states). If you need a motorcycle endorsement anyways why not get a full size bike? Plus with the great American highway you often have to go 65+ MPH. For example just to get to work I need to get on 2 freeways, and do 65MPH+ among semi trailers, and other fast moving traffic. If we were allowed to ride 125-150's without an endorsement then these would probably be more popular in the US than they are now. Edit- And we do have a Sym dealer in Colorado.
