As someone who's bilingual and learning other languages, it's kinda annoying when you try to say something to native speakers of the language you're trying to talk in and they make fun of you/say that it's bad or that your foreign accent is strong. Like I'm out here trying SO HARD to say something or hold a conversation and they have to come in and discourage me like that, no wonder not a lot of English speakers want to learn other languages

Depends on how you look at it. Some reasons it's easier: You're constantly getting exposure. I don't think anybody would bother to learn English if it wasn't as big as it is due to the British Empire's expansion. English also lacks terribly confusing conjugation. This one is weird, because typological morphology (a scale on which languages are judged based on amount of meaningful parts to the whole word ratio (morpheme to word ratio) comes at a trade-off. English has no difficult conjugation, but is rather strict in its word order because of this. A lot of people grew up with Anglophone media, no matter where they are in the world, so they find the language easier. Some reasons it can be more difficult: Pronunciation. Especially the American accent, I've never heard a non-native speaker master this perfectly, but maybe that's just my experience. English possess, in particular, 3 rather difficult phonemes for some to master if they speak a language where those phonemes aren't present. Those are the two English "th" sounds, and the English "r" sound. There's also English's very loose relation to other languages. It's West Germanic at its core, but it sure doesn't act like your typical West Germanic language.
