South African born NZ raised, I'm so proud
I love how the Aboriginal Australian welcomed the display.
rip those who died in the world trade center and mean maori mean
how can u hate on this..this is epic...im from Philadelphia and i had the pleasure to meet some kiwis that were in town..they were cool as shit...
It broke my heart to see it end so soon; this grand haka should have gone on for about an hour as a somber tradition
I wish we had something like this in Norway...

+Daffmeister187 Reenactment bro. Nothing like learning to wield and actual sword and shield as our Scandinavian ancestors would have.

+Daffmeister187 I have plenty of viking Heritage from both sides of my family, every person in my family that I've known has had blue eyes. I was born and raised in New Zealand though. I hope one day to return back to scandinavia, NZ is great and all but the Maori's can be an ignorant bunch until you remind them who's toughest.

+Daffmeister187 By the way, Maori's are basically Polynesians who used Viking/Scandinavian technology for navigation etc..
Much thanks should go to the local Aboriginals for giving us the blessing and allowing us to perform the haka on their land. Don't forget this is not our country, it's Aboriginal country . Much respect to them.
This is awesome, wish I was there to witness it!!
Keeping the Kiwi spirit alive all over the world! XD iltsm

Amy Utting .The kiwis are the best....!!!!!!!!!!!
Speechless. Amazing!!!🙏💯♥️
Far too many cultures, tribal identities and histories have been lost, eroded or intentionally eradicated by empires, religions and globalization. As a Brit, I find it uplifting and inspiring that these traditions are being both reclaimed and celebrated. Thank you for posting this, ljkennedy1; keep the pride alive.
LjKennedy you done a gr8 job recording this precious 'Tikanga Maori-KapaHaka' flash-mob performance; Sydney Australia. That was an amazingly large crowd of people nd im thinking that they were not all Maori but, were interconnected by some invisable cultural thread that brought them en-mass to this place for a specific purpose? To tell us, their people at home that they are safe, well, happy nd miss us like crazy!! Personally, i just want them 2come hoommee :'( :'( :'( Kia Ora, luv u ljkennedy1
Thank you from the family of FF Tomas Casoria FDNT Eng.22
You guys should do this again.. Amazing :)
This is probably the best way to remember september 11th ever.
Was there a purpose behind this performance? Can't help but notice the date. I'm not Maori, Australian born Pakeha- but I have a deep love for Maori culture, and no matter how many times I see a Haka performed, I shed tears every time at the fierceness, strength and beauty of the ritual. Seeing it performed on this kind of scale is phenomenal. Thankyou for sharing it with us!
That sounds scary in a beautiful way
Just Amazing !!!

Great! Respect from Brazil.
MEAN MAORI MEAN! This was AWESOME!! Who cares what it was a publicity stunt or a tribute it was AWESOME!!! Get over yourselves if you didn't like it..... Don't watch the bloody thing! I posted it on my Facebook for everyone to get some good vibes from!!
Why can't we all be Maori? What an amazing culture!
Energy. Thank you.
hahaha the Palagi fellah at the front with no shirt just killed it. lol
For the WORLD to see!!! LOOK AT THE DIFFERENT RACES IN THERE!! Every land and its people have problems.....BUT something unites you that you do not realize is there!!.....Let KIWIS teach you! JUST AWESOME!
i got chills!
I love Haka AND flashmobs
Pretty sure there will be someone who would teach you. Some would be offended but it isnt their choice...I knew a young scottish boy who spoke fluent Maori purely because he loved our culture. Some were offended but many were heartfelt as this young man put his heart and soul into a race not of his own, knew more about it than many Maori alive today.
@matttane where does it say it is??
man I love dis..TOO GOOD..
Love how the women are chanting along as well :) Primo stuff!
How come that video was uploaded on the 10th of september when the performance was on the 11th of september.. that does not make sense

Was there a girls section for the haka?
I love Haka, i am an All Blacks Fan!
It's nice of them to do it here =)
amazing best
From there till now just shows our maoritanga in this world!!!
I dare you to walk in there and tell them the All Blacks suck haha
theres more people here than in a sydney rugby league game. good on the kiwi's for showing sydney people what a real crowd looks like. maybe they'll start getting more than 10 000 people to watch their games.
What Haka is this? I don't mean to sound ignorant, or disrespectful, but is this a more generic/widely used Haka?
kia ora and thank you =) much arohanui to you and yours =)
For our ancestors i can feel that power these are our ancestors
