Not to be biased but Sydney and Carmy's relationship could be a wonderful example of how love can change you over time and how it can inspire you. I think if they take their time to develop them it could be one of the most simmering and loving slow burn romances of all time

They should. I think that they would be good together. Not right now though because Carmy is a mess, but I want it to happen eventually. Also at 2:58 Carmy was having a panic attack and thinking about Sydney telling him that he was an amazing chef calmed him down. That's significant to me.

So I love them together but *not* as romantic partners. I very much enjoy their current dynamic of coworkers slowly becoming very close friends. I think they both really need a friend they know they can count on, and romance tends to mess that dynamic up in shows because shows don't know how to do a loving intimate relationship well. I'm afraid if they bring romance into it then it'll become one big will they/won't they drama and lose what makes their relationship so special. Plus it's not often that you see a true friendship between a heterosexual man and a heterosexual woman in media.

So, I will say this, who is to say that the writers & producers of this show won't be able to do a romantic relationship between them well? I get that in general, Hollywood doesn't do romance well, but why is it automatically assumed here, with The Bear?

@@Keesha_Hardy Why are you assuming they will handle it properly, especially considering the abysmal track record Hollywood has? Personally I'm not willing to risk their current relationship on Hollywood resisting their desire for cheap drama.
