6:27 Is when the teacher really gets it’s shine. Going under the knight leaves it’s back exposed, a weak spot for the knight itself. And the teacher stepping on the leg was also very intuitive, leaving the knight pinned to the ground. I think landfall should improve the AI though, because the teacher could’ve got a clean shot at it’s back. It still won though, :D Edit: You can also see the teacher catching the leg. Pretty smart. If it caught it’s leg like that for a while, the teacher would get free taps and would eventually win.

All other melee units look so clumsy when fighting the teacher. The knight usually humiliates other units, but when fighting the teacher it was tripping over it's own feet!

I've learned with the unit creator mod that 2 things control AI in tabs, the unit and the weapon. For the most part the unit controls movement (spear units will stand at the distance of spears, knights will charge, valkyries will fly, etc) and the weapons have the abilities dmg and targeting (any unit with priest staffs will target teammates, any unit with the valkyrie sword will dive) I haven't done much testing with the teacher but considering his block and his attack are two different executions, I think the block is the unit and the attack is the sword. That's also why he doesn't block faster with cheer leaders. Based on this, he's basically a samurai that block melee weapons instead of ranged and a dodge. I think a nice buff would be changing his block to be apart of his weapon instead of the unit, for example he waits for a squire to attack and as soon as the block is done he counter attacks.

wow that is very detailed! The teacher is the only officially released unit that can parry and dodge although not that good at 2 handed weapons...let's see if they will buff that and maybe increase the cost

@@JMStheKing that would explain why we cannot parry when using The Teacher. One thing I love about TABS right now is having duels with units. Shield units like the knight or Hoplite are fun to play with, and the battles even against AI tend to get quite technical. I was really looking forward to parrying with the Teacher but was disappointed
