The prefecture of Evritania is almost completely covered by mountains and rivers, and as a result is the most sparsely populated in Greece.
Karpenisi is the colorful #metropolis of Evrytania! It is built on the southwest side of Mount Timfristos at an altitude of 975 meters and lies 285 kilometers away from #Athens.
Traditional #architecture, impressive stone houses with tiled roofs, sidewalks and many corners that offer a unique view that will be unforgettable. In the center of the city dominates the main square and the church of the Holy Trinity. All around, cafes and restaurants invite you to enjoy the local flavors, while the cool air smells of fir, fireplace and well-cooked food!
The area has remarkable #guesthouses and hospitality services, while there are many #winter #sports centers that will properly prepare you for your off-white adventures at the #Velouchi #ski #resort, just 11 km north of the city. Δουλειά απίθανη, ευχαριστίες και συγχαρητήρια. Για χρόνια επισκεπτόμουν για δυο/τρεις μέρες το Καρπενήσι το καλοκαίρι με συγγενική παρέα. Μου έλειψε πολύ μόνο τα δυο τελευταία καλοκαίρια λόγω του COVID-19!

Like Switzerland only in terms of scenic landscapes. Because in terms of infrastructure (emergency services, public roads, hotel quality, etc.), there is absolutely no comparison.

Χωρίς τυραννίες, εμφυλίους, μετανάστες, πολέμους, δικτατορίες, μετανάστευση, μνημόνια κλπ. αν μας αφήνανε στην ησυχία μας, τότε θα κάναμε συσχετισμούς. Εξ άλλου την Ευρυτανία και γενικότερα την χώρα δεν την θέλουμε φλώρικη...
Τι δεν θα έδινα να πάω να ζήσω στην Ευρυτανία

Ωραιο μερος για διακοπες.Ομως δεν υπαρχουν δουλειες για να μεινουν οι νεοι.Το μεγαλυτερο ποσοστο των κατοικων ειναι ηλικιωμενοι.Σιγα σιγα τα χωρια ερημωνουν.Δυστυχως...αυτη ειναι η πραγματικοτητα.
