I have a very green clumping plant that looks like switchgrass. It's trunk is short about 12 inches. But it puts out these long green narrow sword like leaves. They droop over when they are about 3 feet. If one runs their hands over the leaves they can cut into the skin. No flowers, plumbs, or anything but the green leaves all year around. It does get these curled 3 inch wood like shavings. Any idea what it's called. I live in so.calif. near the beach..
