Switchgrass, why you should get excited when you see it.
Switch Grass is an unsung hero of the North American landscape! Switch Grass is one of my favorite plants to see in the landscape! Learn about it’s beneficial characteristics and role in the ecosystem in this video.
Of course, it’s debatable whether this grass is “the best” but it’s one of them in my book. Imagine rolling hills covered in six foot plus high switch grass, big muhly, big blue stem and groups of mature trees dotting the landscape, herds of bison being followed by wolves and up to 6 feet of rich top soil, that is how European colonists found this land. It is our mission to help return Texas to a healthy, climax ecosystem. It’s not going to be the same as it was, but we can look back and take inspiration and wisdom to help us now. Switch grass remembers.

I've been keeping an eye out and i think i found some on a fenceline. Probably because the cows cant get to all of it there. I'd like to get it growing on my pond edges.
Get an upland switchgrass. much better than lowland types for drought tolerance
