As both surfers and musicians, this feeling is what keeps us coming back to the water and the studio. We're fighting against the currents and tides to create a better world, not just for ourselves but for those around us.
We sing because HOPE DESERVES AN ANTHEM, and reminders like this one from Frank Ocean serve as the fuel we need from time to time to keep fighting, to keep singing and to keep swimming.
We’ve recorded a collection of songs written by a diverse group of songwriters. Different nationalities. Different ethnicities. Different backgrounds. Different understandings of the world. Even if we can’t be in the same room, it’s still our job to bring people together.

First listened to switchfoot in my angsty teen years, that was more than 20 years ago, come to think of it. Growing up a loner surrounded by people I just don’t get or particularly love, i found much relief in their music. Now in my mid-30s i still feel that deep resonance with their work.

@@triciarhoden2860 Maybe not bringing emotion out of you, but it’s not your vibe. Doesn’t mean it didn’t bring it out of them when they covered it and doesn’t mean it isn’t for others. I dig it, but not bringing a ton of emotion out of me either.

The vibe is great. Superb. Absolutely love it... But those lyrics. Man, I don't know how to explain it but they just don't sound genuine coming from him. Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely love their version of this song.

I thought his voice worked for the tone and message of the song, but sadly the video didn’t. It’s too “fun” for what the song is trying to get across.

You know what I love about this song is that it shows the depth that this band has. Jon does an amazing job not just with his vocals but the emotion behind the song. And this is one that Drew and Jerome really shine. I would love for them to come out with an experimental album. All the greats have done it. And I think they'd do great. Love Switchfoot only band I'll ever have tattooed on me.

thanks . im actually a recovery specialist now working with addicts in treatment . i’m going on three years sober. I’m going to school to become a substance abuse counselor also.
I am not a musician but I have a phrase that says "an excellent song represents a feeling stationary in time" and this song is already achieving it and life will always bring us new feelings for new songs.
A reminder that good music is still being produced.

See this is why music is so special ... I've seen you guys live multiple times - even saw you play at home in San Diego when I lived there. Your music is part of the soundtrack of my life.
