I love how patient and collected Kome fights. He seems to always do just the necessary moves, never more, once he finds the opening he knows exactly how to end the stock. Amazing.

Third game Wadi missed several edgeguards. If you know Shulk has to Up-b, go off and hit him. You can use arm rotor to snag the up b and kill him for free, but Wadi stayed on stage and watched him Up b.

These commentators are gargling Wadi's nuts so bad.

15:12 I don't think Kome picking Buster was a mis-input. Every monado has a strong positive effect and a weak (most of the time) negative effect, but in the right situations that negative can be spun into another positive. Jump gives jump height and air speed but increases the knockback you recieve from attacks Speed gives ground speed, but reduces your damage Shield reduces the knockback and hitstun you take, as well as increasing your SDI multiplier, but obviously makes you slow Buster Reduces the knockback of your moves and increases their damage to make combos easier and more punishing, but the opponent gets the same advantage and Smash is the same deal of increasing knockback and decreasing damage but having that be true for both players. He picked Buster to reduce the knockback he would take and increase his chances of survival. Shield is preferable, but he was offstage and the speed debuff of shield could have been very risky in his position. As well as that, you can alternate between buster and shield for maximum survivability. Stalling with Jump is still probably better most of the time, but you can use Buster instead for when Jump would be too risky or you're getting cornered and can't run away. Smash can also be used at low% to prevent low% combos from working by increasing the knockback you take and reducing the damage your opponent would get off of them.

Several things you got wrong about the Monado Arts. Jump increases the damage Shulk takes, not knockback. Speed doesn't just give ground speed. It also gives lower jump height and faster falling speed (fast fall speed not affected) Shield does not increase SDI at all. It does turn you into a heavy character (ground speed, aerial speed, drift, and falling speed decreased) who hits like a weakling. Buster does not give the opponent lesser knockback against Shulk. Only higher damage. Smash only gives the opponent knockback. No changes in damage dealt to Shulk.
