    I thought some people might be interested in why I became a patreon of FruityKnitting. At some point, someone said that instead of just a podcast, this show is more like a magazine. And I thought, that's true. So what would I pay for a magazine? Then it just seemed reasonable to become a patreon. FruityKnitting is my knitting magazine!

    The plotting and counter plotting in the Great Sweater Wars is getting intense! Andrew looks great in a lighter, warm blue. SO many men limit themselves in their color palette, and they miss opportunities to enhance their own features with color. He looks wonderful in his new sweater, it brings out a certain approachability and warmth.

    The Swiss french sounds pretty much the same to France french in my opinion, which I found surprising since the German sounded very different! The translation was essentially that she comes from Valais like everyone else, was at the yarn festival to spend an excellent day with friends, and to buy, look at the colours, as well as look at new projects. Et si Nathalie lit les commentaires: félicitations! Ton anglais est absolument parfait ;)

    I think you're right. Swiss German is quite different to "standard" German (and many German-speaking Swiss will speak both), but I think the French and Italian are essentially the same as the "local" versions. Although the French and Italian spoken in Switzerland do also have what they call "Helvetisms", which are words (or even grammatical features) which are unique to Swiss speakers. And yes, Nathalie did a great job (-;

    Hello Andrea and Andrew. Thank you for another wonderful and interesting episode. I enjoy going on your adventures. I do understand the need for support through patreon. I cringe a bit when I hear that many of Amy’s view but do not support the show financially. I feel the need to explain my circumstance. I became suddenly disabled 4 years ago cutting my nursing career of 40 years short by another decade of service. Financially it has been devastating. Physically worse. Emotionally trying. Knitting is a great way to control my pain and remain somewhat sane. I am currently enrolled in the Master Hand Knitting program here in the states. It is keeping me occupied. So all this to say I am so very sorry I cannot contribute to your patreon account, I would if I could. Just know how much I enjoy both of you!

    Now the connection with the G clef on the window shelf makes perfect sense! Perhaps hearing your voice, professionally trained, beautiful voice, could be featured in a future episode...

    Thank you very much for this wonderful episode. And I would like to make a comment to the music. The instrument you called accordion is a totally different one although it looks similar. It is a harmonica or a Switzer Örgeli or something close to it. The difference is, that accordions are chromatic and harmonicas and the like are diatonic. And thank you for the nice jodel music. I will hear more of it.

    We'd agree to a diatonic accordion: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwyzer%C3%B6rgeli . I think the point about a harmonica is that it is blown directly with the mouth.

    This is right as well. Both instruments have the same name: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steirische_Harmonika

    @@FruityKnitting there are so many weight loss ads popping up. I am very ignorant about KZread. I didn't realize you did not agree to show ads. Maybe you can announce to the audience you have no control over this madness? It is really, really annoying. Don't worry - i love the show and will always be your patron as long as you are here.

    How is Andrea doing? I have been so worried she may have coronavirus. The Belgium knitter was sick I noticed in her interview. I hope this finds you both well. I enjoy your viewing your travels and I'm amazed at your knitting projects. I'm a very new knitter, so your show is an inspiration. Another knitting show I watch called Fleece and Harmony from Prince Edward Island announced you were going to the PEI festival. They were so excited you will be attending. Have a wonderful day!

    Beautiful sweater! I love how it turned out! Beautiful pattern that you are going to do and the yarn that you are going to use are gorgeous! I love what you are wearing also. Thank you for sharing your trip and the beautiful yarn! The music you played is wonderful! There was a shawl in a yellow ochre color in the beginning of the film. Do you know the company name of the yarn and pattern? Thank you for all that you do! I love watching you! The sweater that you are wearing when filming with Nathalie is gorgeous. May I ask you what the pattern is please?

    What I understood from the lovely Japanese lady: "Hello, Japanese people, I am from Japan too, so... I hope we'll come again next year, this is wonderful". Hopefully someone will get the correct translation if they haven't already, but I think I got it 75%!
