SWISS SKYDIVER: THE BEST EVER PREAKNESS STAKES PERFORMANCE?

Thoroughbred filly Swiss Skydiver gave horse racing fans a day to remember at the 2020 Preakness Stakes, part of the Triple Crown comprising the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes) when she outpaced the favourite, Bob Baffert’s Authentic, in a photo finish to be only the sixth filly in Preakness history to capture the Woodlawn Vase, and first filly since 2009.
Jockey Robby Albarado, trainer Kenny McPeek, and owner Peter Callahan made history in the first Preakness Stakes race that concludes the Triple Crown season.

I love her attitude coming down the stretch. She's clearly telling Authentic "like hell are you getting past me".

Swiss skydiver can flat out run that Preakness race against authentic was pure heart ❤️ and power 💥. Will never forget that race hell of a race!!!!!

When you you get a good filly- hard as nails- they are really really tough to beat. This one refused to be bullied by the big colt leaning on her.

She ran the second fastest, behind Secretariat's 1973 record. She is the fastest filly to run Preakness. She is a descendant of Secretariat.

No, she is not descended from Secretariat ( who is from the same Nasrullah/Princequillo ‘nick’ as Mill Reef) either on the stallion or distaff side.

@@lulabellegnostic8402 She does descend on her dam’s side. Her dam is from the Storm Cat line, and he was Secretariat’s maternal grandson

😂😂😂😂 she is a multiple grade one winner and all of her grade ones are on different tracks. And she has 6 graded stakes wins at 5 different race tracks. Educate yourself
