Swish, Swoosh & Smile at Splash Island, Binan, Laguna!

Let’s splash the day away to stay cool & counter the heatwave in the country’s still no. 1 water adventure park in Splash Island in Southwoods Avenue, Binan, Laguna. You can’t miss this passing along South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) after Southwoods Exit with its colorful rides roughly around 33 kilometers or barely an hour from Manila. Personally, this is our 2nd time here after 20 years.
Splash Island, a 7-hectare waterpark opened in 1997, is one of the leading water adventure parks in the country built by Proslide Technology Inc. of Canada. Proslide is a global leader in the water slide manufacturing & water park design & transformation, thus making it one of the world’s most recognized with most successful parks.
With over 20 attractions & rides, Splash Island is the perfect getaway for families, barkadas & even for companies. You can explore at your own pace & at your own convenience any time of the day. Everything from fastfoods to washrooms is easily accessible. And for every state-of-the-art equipment & rides, there’s a round-the-clock first aid just around the corner. So no need to worry about your family or group’s safety.
For your safety & security, the Lifeguards of Splash Island was initially trained by Jeff Ellis & Associates considered as the best lifeguard training through International Lifeguard Training Program. Their training is continuously done by the park’s experienced Senior Safety Officers with more than 20 years of experience.
Splash Island boasts of giant slides, namely, the Magellan’s Drop (highest & longest slide here), Rio Montanosa, King Pilipit, Tausug Trails, Twin Coco Knots, Twisted Palms, Big Bamboo & Bannakita. We really enjoyed the Twisted Palms’ exciting twists & circles & the Tausug Trails sudden drops.
The pools include the Balsa River (Lazy River), Agos Grandes (with Wave Pool that generates real, crashing waves) & Water Wahoo for children. New attractions here are: Splash Out (Inflatable Island), Zipline, Wall Climbing, Sky Bike, Kayaking & Paintball. Children as young as 3 enjoyed the Balsa River just by walking along 1200-feet winding path river like pool.
There are also numerous accommodations here: for daytime - nipa hut, tiki hut, casitas & the treehouse. We rented a big cottage good for 20 pax just across Fiesta sa Pulo. For overnight, there’s splash glamping (tiny house, isolated dome, luxury bell tent, tiki hut, tipi tent & pitching tent. Lockers are also available for rent.
Splash Island is now managed & operated by Global Gutz Parks Philippines, Inc. since the summer of 2009. For its part, Global Gutz has maintained the park’s world class standard thru the years (except maybe the cottages for rentals) ensuring safety & reliable operation of the park. Splash Island is also a member of World Water Park Association.
So what are you waiting for? Get wet, have fun unlike anything you have ever experienced before. Summer is officially on!
