@@t.rok13 Under the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations, you can be fined 10,000$ for swimming within a 100 meter range of killer whales. These laws are there to protect both humans and marine mammals from each other. I don't know why this law exists, but it does.

@@hudsonquay there auctally was 1 recorded death of a human killed by a orca in the wild and that was in 1955, but before and after that year there have been no further recorded deaths of humans caused by orcas in the wild. But you're probably aware orcas that have been in captivity have either injured or killed people, Tilkium was an orca who was responsible for killing 3 people (1 trainer in 1991, 1 trainer in 2010 and a person who was trespassing in SeaWorld Orlando was the 2nd fatality in 1999). Tilkium sadly died in 2017 but I still think SeaWorld need to pay the ultimate price for these deaths and be shut down as they never should have put those orcas into captivity (obviously they didn't know their behavior would change while in confinement). Have you watched a documentary called Blackfish? If not I'd recommend you to watch it as I watched it just recently and found it quite interesting but sad to hear how these orcas were cared for while in captivity

If they had stayed in the water it would of most likely come up to them and allowed them to touch it. They aren't dangerous unless you get in the way of them doing something. They act a lot like a dolphin in the fact they are playful, kind of a missed opportunity.

When those people ran out of the water the orca was like "hey, I just came over to join in the fun!" ......lol.
