Swelling in your hands when hiking? The reason why (it's not your nutrition!)
Спорт
Many folks think swelling in the hands while hiking is related to too much salt intake often found in backpacking food. While there are scenarios where that's possible, it's usually the exception rather than the rule.
This video highlights three of the main culprits. If any of these three are at play for you, you may consider that rather than investing a load of time calculating salt milligrams in your food to reduce.

Thanks for making this video I appreciate it. I recently started experiencing this for the first time. I noticed it one time after an intense basketball session and the second time while on a hike. I was freaking out so bad because it's the first time this has happened to me. I work out regularly but I never experienced this or at least never noticed it. The swelling goes down a few minutes after the workout ends.

Ha ha! I can see why! Sounds like it resolved once you stopped hiking and made it to cooler temps?
Thanks for the informative video, I too was thinking if it is because of sodium content or excess of water

@@valleytopeaknutrition Not limited to hot weather, but definitely more frequent.

maybe better stated as having a higher level of swelling/pressure.
