I guess is my number 1 of 50 cause I just discovered the song now.

2024 still here

I lost my grandma last year to Cancer.. she was one of the original founders of the SDA church in Ghana. This song reminds me so much of her in her last days..she kept singing when she was in the worst pain. She kept talking about going home to the City of her saviour. I know she is there with him and is not in pain anymore; I miss her a lot but this song makes me feel she is with us in a good way and it makes me look forward to meeting my Lord and my granny one day in Jerusalem above. Thank you for this beautiful song! God bless you!!!!

The bible tells us that on the return of Christ the dead in Christ shall rise first and then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up with them...so no, she is dead and not looking down on you from heaven. This is a comforting but misguided doctrine.

I see so many comments like yours. " I'm proud to be an Adventist". What does this really mean... Is it a subtle exclusion of other believers? How about I am proud to be a follower of Christ? Being an adventist does not get one into heaven. The voices are beautiful and a blessing from The most High, for all to enjoy, not because they are Adventist.

Toni A - Because we are so slandered. Many call us a cult and are hateful. But Christ Jesus, Himself, raised up this movement when it was most needed in this apostate world. We are proud to be in the cult of Christ Jesus, His remnant, who keep his commandments (not in our own strength) and have the faith OF Jesus (in the Father) - as well as the testimony of Jesus, which is the Spirit of Prophecy. We believe in Jesus and His power of Grace, and follow His example in all things.

@@theway5563 - I was speaking about the comments from some Adventists in reference to this video or anything an Adventist does that is good, which I don't see other denominations doing.. This seems to be often from the Adventist faith. When we watch it no one cares what their names are or what their faith is..., it is for all to enjoy and give God glory, but there will always be Adventists who pop-up and give honor to Adventistism for the show of blessings, rather than the Creator, The Most High God. Adventism, nor any denomination, or religion, should take the glory for something we did not give ourselves... This video has blessed many. Let us all enjoy it. Let no man take God's glory.

Ive been looking for this song for the past 6 months!! i heard it once through an audio on a whatsapp group and lost it shortly after. i couldnt remember the lyrics or the group or anything! Suddenly today i sang the song, first two lines and i dont even know where it came from but i searched it on youtube and here it is!! This song helped me through a tough time a while back and im thankful for those that performed it. BEAUTIFUL!!

Really? I'm glad you found it... I remember I was in high school when the song was released, grade 11/12 and it was just as beautiful as it is now, still speaking, still preaching and still top notch quality. It takes me back my high school days and how we'd sing it in class when there's no teacher.

This song saw me through a very rough patch in 2017 when all seemed lost and vanity. I'd cry myself to sleep every night humming the song...the only thought that kept me afloat was imagining of being "home at last in the city Jerusalem ". 3 years later, I can't hold the tears back. This song really encouraged me in 2018 when I lost my dad who was such a friend and mentor to me. I would play it over and over, imagining of that beautiful city longing to get home and reunite with my dad along with other saints. Well keep holding on folks for, 'our salvation is nearer than when we first believed'
