Today we find ourselves in a very interesting place in the book of Philippians. We're going to talk about Philippians chapter 4 and in verse 5 the Bible says, "Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand." And then it goes on in verse 6 and it says, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
Now we seem to gravitate toward the be careful for nothing, in everything let your requests be made known unto God, but the challenge with let your moderation be known unto all men, where does this come in to the book of Philippians and why is it just before this let your request be made known into God? Do you know there is something about letting your sweet reasonableness, your gracious gentleness be known under all men because the Lord is right there and if there is something that disturbs us the Lord is right there, let your request be made known unto God.
