Sweet chinese steamed egg with milk (NextUp Europe), 鮮奶燉蛋

Hi this video is my pilotvideo with which I am applying for KZread NextUp Europe 2012. My son and me have been running this channel from the start and he has always supported me and did the camerawork and video editing. Our plan is to make cooking videos together in the future and all his videos will be in english while mine will remain in cantonese. Please support us! ^^ Maria & Stefan
Ingredients:
1. 200 ml = 6. 763 fl oz, milk
2. one egg, large
3. a pinch of salt
4. quarter teaspoon oil
5. 5 teaspoons honey
材料:
1. 200 ml = 6.763 fl oz, 暖奶
2. 一只蛋, 大
3. 少許鹽
4. 1/4 茶匙油
5. 5 茶匙蜜糖
做法:
中小火煮 3 分鐘奶後攤凍, 待用.
一只大旦向一方向打 1 分鐘後加入 5 茶匙蜜糖, 少許鹽和 1/4 茶匙油拌勻後打 30 秒,
30 秒後, 隨少加入微暖奶拌至混合後打 30 秒後, 用濾器濾出雜物和泡沫 2 次後倒蛋料入
蒸碗, 有泡沫要取出, 蓋錫紙光亮面向低, 待用.
放蒸架, 水要到蒸架, 大火煮滚, 才放入蒸碗, 蓋面, 教中小火蒸 7 分鍾,
7 分鍾後, 関火在熱爐上焗 15 分,
15 分後取出蒸碗, 取出錫紙, 蒸蛋很軟要等 20 分蒸蛋形結後, 可進食.

    Maria, There are two reasons why I love your videos - your recipes are great and your Cantonese is so clear and wonderful to listen to. I live in the States and no longer hear Cantonese spoken as much as before. Listening to you is like relearning Cantonese - cooking lesson and language lesson at the same time. I would prefer to watch you giving instructions in Cantonese, but will support you and your son Stefan all the way.

    I love this! As a loyal viewer of Maria's cooking lessons, it has been a challenge to understand her Chinese language instructions however, the technique has always been quite clear and successful! Now Stefan's English language instructions are a BIG PLUS, continuing the clear and detailed instructions! Keep up the good work!

    Hi, add the sugar when you warm up 200 ml of milk untill the sugar dissolved no need to bring to boil. Thank you for loving my cooking recipe and videos :)

    This Aunty Maria teaches very well, clear instructions and everything in metrics, very precise. I tried this recipe today, it turned out incredibly delicious. I also tried 2 other dishes she tought, Steam yam with pork and Salty steam egg, both turned out well too.

    Was going to make Caramel Pudding for my boyfriend...but didn't really want to wash a lot of dishes. So I saw your video with this Steamed Egg pudding dessert and decided to make this instead. It's really yummy and thank you for sharing! It's as good as the ones my mom makes.

    Also, can you please clarify: Steam on medium low heat for 7 minutes. Then you say to turn off the heat and let steam for an additional 15 minutes? or is it an additional 8 minutes to make a total cooking time of 15 minutes? Thanks in advance.

    MegaVincentChan Hi, 2:13 and I will steam it for around 7 mins 2:16 so now the 7 mins are over, I turn off the heat 2:19 and I leave it on the hot hob for 15 mins. Thank you ^^

    Hallo again. I just tried out the recipe and it worked out wonderfully! It was a bit a hassle to find the right things to immitate your steaming equimpent, but with a bowl with a plate on top (I'm not so fond of aluminium for health reasons) and the whole lot placed in a pan with boiling water on top of some metal thing I found in the drawer, did the trick! Delicious! I've been so free as to sprinkle some cinnamon and ginger powder on top for extra flavor and wonder...

    多謝你咁好ge recipe! I just tried it, 好滑好嫩!我subtitute 2.5 tbs 糖冇用到honey. 都好好味! 我初頭懷疑要咁多步骤( 先煮熱奶,加油,關火焗成15mim). 不過試咗-啖,發現d steps 係值得ge. Thank you again for sharing!
