Even in jrs he didn't really have an accent (he played in Canada), you'll find that with alot of Swedish hockey players their accent doesn't really stick around too long when they're playing in North America speaking english frequently, if it does it's not as noticeable as players from other European countries.

He has been playing a lot of hockey in america and went to school there as well. He is almost half american i think. Although perfect Swedish accent also!

Canada is certainly part of North America. When people describe someone as being "American" they mean from the USA but perhaps that's not the case wherever you're from? If so, what do you call a person from the USA and how do you distinguish them from someone from Canada?
