Date and location:
25th September 2017 Sweden, Stockholm, Fastebolvägen, Järfälla (59.41577 17.80824) - around 40 min from downtown Stockholm).
How much does it costs?
Each square meter of this asphalt coast more than $1500 because of it's very high quality and durability, (maintenance not including).
This type of asphalt will last for at least 5 years. During winter the sidewalk and ground temperature drops below -25 C, covered by snow ans ice.
The asphalt that they use is a combination of several different types of different smal stones and hot tar.
The use two layer of asphalt. Each layer is 4 cm.
The main asphalt machine, SUPER 1803-3i comes from company VÖGELE.
Facts about VÖGELE SUPER 1303-3i:
- Maximum pave width 4.5 m
- Maximum laydown rate up to 250 tonnes/h
- Transport width 1.85 m

Come to Blackpool in the UK, the only surfacing they do in this town is 'patch' the odd hole or two - and then it's a rather botched job and most don't last long. The Police don't need to enforce the speed limit on most roads as they are so bad you either spend your time swerving to miss the bumps or dips - and can only do about 20 mph along them.
Beautiful stainless steel dump body on that tuck supplying the hot asphalt mix fo the sidewalk thy w doing. The half-sphere shape makes it much easier for the asphalt mix to dump from the bed of the dump truck to paving machine.

The water sprinkles in front of the plate compactor to keep asphalt from sticking.
That sidewalk has mores pavement than the roads here in Portugal
Will last for at least 5 years? :) That's nothing to write home about it, I cannot imagine a single road in my country that is paved twice in every 25 or 30 years. And they're not just sidewalks. :)

For stor vals for denne type jobb, en HD13 gjør at det blir mye lettere å rive opp asfalten enn hvis man for eksempel hadde hatt en HD10. Pluss at valseføreren bruker for lang tid på å lokke dekket

In about 12 ton on car. And the same if you had a hanger. Trailers take about 30 tons.

+Ketabedanesh Also I don't know where the fuck you got the figure of $1500 per Sq meter. Try $80-$100 I just googled it. No road or motorway surface would be be made of asphalt at &1500 per Sq meter.

Why are they wasting all this money when they could have turned it into another car lane? Who's going to ride their bike when it's -20 and covered over in snow pack? They have to start taxing the bikes or make them pay a toll to offset the costs.

Can you at least put Swedistan? i get confused when you put sweden. sweden is no longer a internationally accepted country, however, swedistan is more suitable for our time. It really offends me.

We just tell them that we are trying to educate and inform people about the value of these projects for the society and why people pay tax. We also try educate our viewer shot from an angel that never been seen before.
