Putin's main task is to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO. he completed this task. Sweden and Finland have always been partners and good neighbors of Russia. and now Russia will send its nuclear missiles at them. Sweden-Finland used to trade with Russia and exchange tourists, now the Swedes and Finns will dig a bunker. It was not very smart to change good relations with a neighboring country and become a slave to the distant United States. And don't tell me that Russia is an aggressive country and threatens Europe. Well, it finally happened officially. I will be fully satisfied when the Sabaton band is appointed the official rock band of NATO (and we play their "Gott mit uns" for Putin on the Russian border from the speakers) and at least of the new European alliance that is being forged before our eyes, and certainly among the Nordic countries. My God, it's almost like alternate history. Since the Kalmar Union. All of Scandinavia united in one military alliance From Iceland to Finland, From Norway to Denmark. This is History with a capital H. Thanks Mr. Pustler.

Fun fact: The Finnish military alone after the mobilization of the defence forces outnumbers the original Russian invasion force sent on their "special military operation" in 2022.

This can also be easily increased. The total maximum of trained reservists, including the so called unallocated reserve size is about up there as you stated, around 870 000. Age of the reservists is the primary limiting factor on how many there can be at maximum.

+2 in NATO, Putin is a pure Russian genius. There is no way for Russian Zombie TV to cope with this major Russian geopolitical failure. Plus, the fact that Russia didn't object to Finland's NATO membership proved that all this Russian whining about "mortal threat" from NATO expansion was simply Russian propaganda.

I find it interesting that Sweden and Finland would join; given that the threat to themselves isn't that high; its the Baltic states which are vulnerable and likely to be the trigger, so Sweden and Finland are signing up to defend somebody else, more than themselves. It's a show of solidarity with others; against a common threat.

Finland told Putin that Finns do not need tourists, cheap resources, security, friendly and peaceful relations with Russia. Instead, Finland chose hosts abroad. Now Finland will receive Russian troops on its borders and will come under the sights of Russian nuclear weapons. well, the loss of trade and economic relations with a major supplier of resources. Yes, Finland is a big winner and will feel safe sitting in the bunker.😂

Well, yes. Finland used to be friends with Russia, exchanged tourists and received cheap resources. Russia has long withdrawn its troops from the border with Finland. Finland is safe now, except that Russia has targeted it with nuclear missiles and will again deploy its troops on the border with Finland.

Finland has learned from history, the eastern neighbor is aggressive again, no longer alone.

The Baltic frontier is now secured, however, precaution must still be exercised for as long as Putler is alive.
