SWCP Day 26 Porthallow to Falmouth 4K
Day 26 - my final day on this leg. Waking to a beautiful morning I pack up my tent one last time and head down to the 1/2 way marker at Porthallow which looked resplendent in the early morning sun. I have 2 estuaries to navigate around and across today. Having checked the tide times I am fairly confident I should make Falmouth in time to catch my train home.

Yes it is a good walk. A bit different with the walk around Gillan Creek and having to catch a ferry.
Nice video. I must have just missed you. I did a few coast path walks on the lizard just after august bank holiday and according to the date on my sound clips 4th of September down the Helford estuary. It was a good idea to get that little bit between the rivers done. When i did that bit with my dad 9 years ago we got as far as Helford and decided to resume at St Anthony on the other side of 3 ferrys and less than 3 miles. sometimes you've just got to do what works at the time.

Thanks. It was a nice few days walking that section. Not an area I am familiar with but I loved the Lizard.
When you do the next stretch I can really recommend Treveague Campsite just outside of Gorran Haven. Great facilities, hot showers, drying room, cafe and bar and lovely people.

Thanks for that Carleton. As my Mighty Hike was cancelled I went back to the path the following week to cheer myself up. I have gone past Gorran Haven now.

Cool did you enjoy it?
I'm slowly becoming a coastal walking convert watching your progress on the SWCP. Hopefully it really is as good as your filming makes it look.🤣🤣 Congrats on getting past half-way. ATB Roger

Yes Roger you should go for it. It is amazing. I hope I do give an accurate(ish) account of what to expect.

I left a comment then looked at a couple others and felt bound to respond to yours. Come and give it a go. Book yourself a weekend, longer if you can. I'd be willing to shake your hand on a bet that you'll be back for more. It wouldn't so much make you a convert as someone broadening their horizons. I became a walker, camper, outdoor person because my dad showed me how great it could be. First he showed me Epping forest, close to where we lived, then the coast path. I love both. So can you.
This stretch of the SWCP is such a lovelly walk. Bringing back lots of memories from when I walked here from St. Mawes to Porthallow some yrears ago. As always, your filming is great👍
