Sway (violin lesson); melody and solo

Sway is an excellent latin jazz tune for violin. In this lesson I demonstrate the basic melody, with on-screen sheet music, and show how to structure a solo around just two scales or modes; the D harmonic minor and the C mixolydian.

Hi Chris. You writte books about folklore violin music. I have tip for you. Don't you want to writte book about Moravian folk music? In Moravian folklore are violines very important. But I don't know if it is possible for you. You do a great job and I appologize to you for my english :).

Hi Simsala. I did a bit of research on Moravian folk a few years ago, and collected some tunes. It is very interesting! Unfortunately my publisher, Schott, decided that Eastern European folk music would not be sufficiently commercial. However, since you have mentioned it, I might think about doing a video on that subject. If so I would need some help with pronunciation! If you give me your email address I will keep your name on record so I can get in touch with you in the future. My email address is haighchris@hotmail.com.
