Swather goes for a dip | Water Recovery

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This swather got a little too close to the edge and went in. We love these unique jobs because it presents new challenges. Enjoy!

    I've viewed a lot of these videos with various recovery operators using rotators; Plaza, Pepe's, Midwest, etc. Many of the recoveries are a challenge. But this the first one that I've seen with a certified diver using scuba gear to get the job done. Impressive!

    I love your Chanel on you tube because your all calm and no over excited shouting and screaming but I do have 2 Major criticisms and it's to do with your winching and bear in mind I have done a lot of winching out Myself and it is you all stand to close to the cabals and you aloue to meny bystanders to stand to close to the work area I watched you winching the garbage truck and I think you were way to close to the winch rope's and again on this one to meny people in the work zone I worked on wreck recovery and lost 2 friend at different times when the winch cables break and nither where under to much strain when they got hit by the cables thst cut them down, I cringe at the thought of anyone getting cut in half with the winch cables please tack care guys I love the videos apart from these 2 points.

    I appreciate the input, and you're not at all wrong about being careful with being in the kill zone, sometimes it's difficult to avoid it but I will admit we probably could be better about it. I've been around this business basically my whole life due to my dad starting the company in 1985 and me being born in 1990, and one thing I love about our operators is how calm we are. It all comes down to training and knowing what you're doing. Michael is one of the best operators in the country and that's not me being biased. Thanks to him and our other operators we are able to be calm and work well together. Thanks for watching our videos!

Once these things get at high speed they can be hard to control and the steering can be a little funky because thoes machine are designed to almost turn on a dime...so you can imagine going 15-20mph down a narrow raid with a wide wheel base and super sensitive steering....your end up with a mess like this

    @@matthewhoffman9242 the wheels in question are actually the rear wheels, all they do is hold up the back of the machine, steering and drive are done on the front big wheels hydrostatically, just like the steering on a zero turn mower. You've got great equipment, interesting jobs, and you're well-spoken and personable. You have the potential to have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and views/video, but you need to up your video production game a bit. It's all about telling each story in the most interesting and compelling (and easy to watch) way. You definitely need to stabilize your video shooting. There are simple gyro-stabilizers that can hold a GoPro or a cell phone. Tripods are your friend. Check out Ron Pratt, Pepe's Towing, and Matt's Offroad Recovery for good examples of towing channels. Ron Pratt uses multiple GoPros. He sets up a tripod to capture the overall recovery, and he still uses a handheld camera to capture the rigging activity, etc. You can get cool shots from different angles, like mounting a GoPro on your boom, or on the vehicle that is being recovered, looking back at the rotator. Matt's and Pepe's make frequent use of drone footage. Multi-camera shoots are more complicated, and take longer to edit, but a well-edited video is much more enjoyable to watch than raw footage. Some action, like the wide view of the full recovery, can be sped up, and shown at 4x, 8x or 16x real-time (Ron Pratt does this at the end of his videos). Distilling this down to 15 minutes of the best footage would be better. Good luck and keep at it!

    Wallace Luna Well first off a crane could never get in there, and secondly a crane is double if not triple the hourly price and they still would have needed to hire divers to rig it

  • @CountryEquipmentRentals

    @CountryEquipmentRentals

    Kenneth Potts the pump idea actually took longer so the hourly price would have been more. It was the customers idea to pump it. If we never tried to pump at all the price of the job would have been less because it took more time trying to pump it.

    what good does it do to have a rotator when you use it as a plain old wrecker? You need to go watch some of Ron Pratt's videos he will show you how to use it.

    harry davis How is this using it as a plain old wrecker? We are rotating at a 90 degree and lifting it from far away. Then while holding it in the air we boomed out while rotating to place it on the other side. Your comment is confusing.
