I love roman szmal watercolors! Excited to see your swatches!

I am waiting for my RS set ordered from Jackson's Art. I made a promise that these will be the last watercolors I'd buy. ❤ Spent so many sleepless nights contemplating on my purchase before i finally placed the order. 😅

Hi Lily, I have almost all of the Michael Harding watercolours and, while I think they are very good quality, they aren’t that exciting. They are a bit like W&N in that they are highly pigmented and paint out extremely well but, they lack the wow factor of Roman Szmal or Deep Deep Light etc. I’d love to see the Stoneground Paint Co colours swatched out!! My poor bank account is already quivering and sobbing in the corner! 💚❤️🩵💜💙🧡💛🩷

I love Roman Szmal. I need to add the Aquarius violet and ultramarine pink to my pallet. The ocean blue is fun to play with. If you get a chance, try it wet on wet and watch it dance. I don't use phthalos much either, but it is a fun color to move around in water.

I got Michael Harding last year as a present….they are lovely, very pigmented. I haven’t found myself as excited by them either, though I’m very excited we have a fabulous paint master for watercolour in the UK again. One thing I found was MH paints are highly pigmented, I filled one of those tiny art toolkit look-a-like palettes and used it quite a bit and barely made a dent in the colours. I would love to see the Stoneground paints too, but really I will enjoy whichever you choose to swatch. I love your swatching videos, they’re very relaxing and useful. I’m impressed with the Baohong paper too!

That ultramarine pink is just lovely. My brain is craving lovely spring colours on this grey, cold, Canadian morning. I would love to see the Stoneground paints, please! Roman Szmal is very expensive in Canada (at least where I live), but I have been eyeing Stoneground for a while and wondering about them. If they are nice, I would like to support a Canadian company.
