*SWAT RESPONSE* Tons of Unmarked SWAT, GTF, CNT, and Police Units Responding Code 3!

On Thursday, June 13th, 2024, Just before 5:00 PM, San Mateo Police Responded to reports of a shooting at the gas station on the corner of Norfolk and Hinsdale boulevard. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim who was shot in the back, had left the scene, and the suspect had retreated to his apartment. The victim was located in San Carlos and treated for her injuries. SWAT and CNT (crisis negotiation team) were requested, as well as the county Gang Task Force (GTF) Which is a joint agency comprised of ATF Agents, CHP Officers, Probation Officers, and Gang Intelligence Unit Officers from throughout the county. The suspect ultimately surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

True but everyone uses phaser to be honest. Not so much illegal to use as it is just not considered a siren.

Actually yes. Its the county tactical EMS. It was a super obscure SWAT response. Typically we have one law enforcement armor as well as a supplementary armored vehicle which is either the MedCat or an Armored van. For some reason there was no law enforcement armor that responded to this and it was solely the medcat which took forever to arrive and came no code after the rest of the swat units. Very strange to say the least

Solid red is required on all California emergency vehicles

California law requires at least one solid red light facing forward. Anything else, is extra. In some vehicles is hard to find among so many other lights. 😅 It's a very old, antiquated law from when vehicles could only have one solid light to denote emergency vehicles.
I couldn't tell, but was that SMPD SWAT?

the big command vehicle was, for some reason the armored truck came from the county opposed to SMPD and also came without any lights or siren unfortunately.
