Specifics: Since 1941 all german service binoculars had a 3 letter manufacturer code on them. The code "cag" means that the binocular was produced by Swarovski, Tirol. The yellow color was used since 1943 under the term "Einheitstarnfarbe Europa" (unit camouflage color Europe) for binoculars and various other equipment. It was in fact not regarded as a desert camouflage color as the units of the german Afrikakorps (desert troops) were equipped with black colored binoculars. The blue Δ-symbol means, that the binocular works under extreme climatic conditions from -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to 122°F).

An excellent picture!
Fascinating video! It would be great to hear about the Swarovski involvement in the Nazi party and World War Two but it seems the company are not willing to disclose much about this pivotal time in their history. From what I’ve read and heard, the owner, his sons and many of the employees at this period were heavily involved in the support of the third reich. Thanks for the video!

@@BlackForestRecon , this 6x30 cag binoculars are 100 % original german Wehrmacht, made 1944. Even the color is still the original one :-) . Nice bino !

1944. Original german Wehrmacht late war - color : Einheitstarnfarbe Europa . ( not Africa -tan, which was brighter )
