Superb post with a beautiful song. i wanted to request this song and you heard me :) This song is very contagious, in a good way, and catchy tune. i can totally say that you had enjoyed too much from the way you are describing it in the video. It is a blessing to have this talent. keep it up Dr lavanya. This song is all about a girl expressing her emotions. When i firstly heard this song, i cant separate ilayaraja from it as it starts more like 'malayil yaro' from chatriyan. it is a very similar genre of song i should say. i had that feeling because malayil is pure suddha dhanyasi with a M1 and this one has M2 to begin with and starts more on the madhukauns (aka) sumanesa ranjani and then detours totally into all notes. Deciphering all the close notes is tough and you have special ears Dr Lavanya. Speaking of these ragams, i would like you to consider doing 'edho ninavugal ...manadhile malarudhe' based on both suddha dhanyasi and madhukauns . There is one more song that my friend shared about the technicalities ....'unnai ethirpaarthen...thendralidam keten' it is a superb song in 'vanaja girija' sung by swaranalatha and spb. May be not popular. it is purely madhukauns ragam. ive heard that for many years without digging into the raga perspective until now. i am suggesting all these so you are challenged :D but you will nail it..thanks for all the good work.
