Finally someone mentions the slurs in No Exit! And how they literally do not enhance the story. And what's most bothersome of all is how much praise the book has received on Booktube and not ONCE have I heard mention of the slurs, not even as a trigger warning, a head's up -- nothing. .I have nothing against someone liking the book, but for the slurs to go unmentioned is like, huh? Anyhoo, on to better things, I really want to read Innocent Intent! I have never heard of the author! I'm so thankful every time you introduce us to someone new. Yay! . . . (Lastly, I generally don't like commenting on people's appearance (because I don't know how they feel about it) but respectfully would like to mention how FREAKING STUNNING your hair looks!!! )

Wild!! I had no idea!

I wanna implement the morning reading, i feel like it'd be so GOOD for my nervous system to take a moment and breathe! Literally just sit and read. At this point ive tried everything for gentler mornings: getting up earlier, going for a walk, not look at my phone. I know that slow mornings are especially important for autistic adults. So im rlly trying to make them gentle, reading might just do the trick ✨🪄

Plus, nothing has ever worked. If i have plans during the day, i will stress out about them. The only time when im totally calm is while reading. and its just not the same as scrolling on my phone!! Like reading hits ~differently~ 😅

I just got my kindle and girl let me say I’m loving it and it makes reading so much fun honestly. I read faster it feels like even tho I’m at my normal pace. Social media especially tic tok is a hard thing to kick so your not alone

Definitely the inspiration I needed to stop scrolling and start reading. Also, we are on the same page with “No Exit.” I *hate* when authors do things like that unnecessarily. The movie (based on the book) changed a lot of that dialogue.

Love your fro. IMHO, "When No One Is Watching" is more mystery, less thriller. A lot of people were expecting fast paced action and when they didn't get it, were disappointed. Got the latest L.S. Stratton book from the library.

So you provide so many good books recommendations and reviews you should start an online book club. My TBR list constantly changes because when I watch your videos I find something else to read. My TBR is so long and I’ve bought so many books. I now go to the library cause hunni you keep me on the move with these books. lol I’m not on social media but the challenge your doing is great.

Yeah ‘No Exit’ sounds super cringy. I was obsessed with this adult fantasy series from my teens up through my early 30s. I went back and re-read the first couple of books last year and girl…she didn’t use slurs but her descriptions of black characters had so many stereotypes and the descriptions of skin tones was cringy 😬 I have to give myself grace bc I was too young to be reading that mess and clearly didn’t no any better 😅
