The hanging man has gotten so much god damn better I couldn’t believe how good it sounded when I was in Richmond which was like 4 days before this one

This was my first time seeing Swans.... Been waiting almost 10 years - since I had first gained knowledge about the band. Holy cow this was an insane experience. And extremely loud. my pecker was literally rattling and it was so loud I felt sick for a few moments. My girlfriend who knows nothing about the band felt tortured, scared and thought the band were summoning demons live on stage. I loved hearing that she felt that way.

Thank you so so so much for having a full recording of this. I was so mesmerized by the immensity of this that I recorded almost nothing and wished I could just hear some of these sounds again. I hadn't heard any of the newer tracks before so this was the first time hearing all of them. All of them sound amazing and I can't wait to hear them recorded, but having them introduced to me like this was an experience that could not be repeated. I Am A Tower and Away made me cry.

Guardian spirit sounds so good. I wasn't really that into the last record but this next one might be the one. I saw them in Helsinki 6 months ago and I loved the experience and my ears rang for days. But these newer tracks sound like they're gushing so much more colour. Man...

hello! can you please tell me something about your exerience there, I have never been in a SWANS concert, despite I'm a huge fan, and I'm very interesting in the fisical experience or even "spiritual" experience being in a SWANS concert. Thanks : )

They were registering anywhere from 115-120dB at times when the entire band would play. I was standing in the pit area and it was an intense, beautiful and mesmerizing experience I’ll never forget. Glad I brought ear plugs too lol.

Hell yeah, was hoping a full recording of this would be up! Was there for this set and it was fucking amazing. Stellar mix of tones and ranges of sound intensity in this one. Came in my Georges Bataille shirt and it felt appropriate enough with how much the senses were pushed with that show. Finally have video proof of that moment where Michael Gira turned around to slap his ass in annoyance at some people in the mosh pit, with how he did it totally unbroken amidst the drones I thought it was either a part of the act or that my brain was already being fucked with from being rattled in my skull for an hour up to that point. Knowing his work on The Consumer I wouldn't have been too surprised if it were the former.

I was at the very front, so I had a super close view of when he started spanking himself, lol. Didn't realize people were moshing. Was that happening somewhere in the back of the crowd?

haha Nice. I love Bataille, and Swans! I had only heard their name around for a while until last year when I met my friends and joined their band and they'e gotten me equly obsessed with Swans. Love it all! I've heard Filfth, masterpiece, Cop, leaving meaning, the beggar, and some others. A truly mind-blowing career they've had, and michael Gira is a musician's musician. I've seen them twice now. Once in Brooklyn and once in Philly. I got a pretty good amount of it on my phone, same setlist. Man ... Birthing is unlike anything i'v ever experienced! Seeing a swans show is, ... unique! We're gonna go see 'em again in May. Woo!!! Man, if you're a baitaille fan, check out this track my friend and I did. Entirely improv. I'm on keys and samples, and I'm using text to speech to read a number of works; including, at the end, part of the first orgy scene from Story of the Eye. njoy! cronjiy.bandcamp.com/track/splinters-of-democracy-maximize-profits
