No issue with this camera, long distance and stable, good to me

What is interesting is that in less than an hour, there are 3 comments from supposedly different people or users complimenting this camera and also 3 likes...hmmm....
I actually have a max ranger and didn't have any of the issues that he describes in this video. I set it up using the phone interface without any problems and the range is as advertised, I wonder if there was some form of interference near by that was causing issues for the reviewer. Overall I am pretty happy with it.

Your complaint sbout HaLow is due to just the technology itself, 900Mhz means there is less bandwidth and even best case scenario is only capable of about 15Mbps of data, but average closer to around 3 Mbps which is why it needs to be compressed to lower resolution or else it would probably never load. This doesnt mean the technology is bad though, its just simple as the more range you have the less speeds and vice versa. This is why LoRa and HaLow are better used for more simple applications that have smaller data packets like weather stations since the range can reach a couple of miles.

Thanks for the clarification. It seems then the HaLow is not a good option for higher resolution security cameras then...
Great review as always. I'm still waiting for a Ring 4K. 😂😂😂 Ring behinde the times like Nintendo.
Great work, as always. When Halo technology matures it will be a game changer.

I appreciate that
I'll be honest. I changed over to eufy almost a year ago. I have 4 4k cameras and several other 2k cameras, including the wired doorbell. I've had little to no issues with these. I had one of my pan and tilt cameras malfunction. I reported it to eufy, and they advised me to send it in at their cost, and they sent me a replacement right away. The app is pretty good to. It's gonna take alot for another company to compete or beat them. I can see Swann is far from accomplishing this. Great video as usual 👌

Thanks for sharing your experience and for watching the video!
You should do a video that deep dives into the respective apps for each of the cameras. The app often makes or breaks the viability of the cameras, especially with cloud services into the mix. For example, I have eufy, ring, and wyze cameras in different houses around the world. While I think the eufy cameras are better, the Wyze app is so much better since the initial videos are pulled from the cloud along with a timeline function. Remote viewing of eufy recordings that are recorded locally take longer due to the latency from around the world, even when both sides have fiber. Ring I found to be a messy app, especially on the camera side with there UI. A comparison video of all these different apps would be great.

Thanks for sharing your experience. In my experience when I check my cams when I away from home...all of them cloud or local loads up fine as long as my WIFI or cellular signal in my phone is good.
I'm new to your channel and enjoy it a lot...very informative. I current have two ring doorbell cameras, the Pro 2 and the standard 1080p. I'm now in the market for two 2k-4k cameras w/excellent night vision for the back of my house, specifically the back of my basement under a deck. Connectivity is not an issue; I have access to 120v, ethernet, 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and WiFi6. I'm also not opposed to getting a hub, spotlight cameras, or triggering devices for after-market floodlights. After reading a lot and watching many of your videos I'm leaning towards Eufy or Reolink but not totally sold. My concern at this point, is the functionality of the app. I really like the functionality of the Ring app, specifically the ease of setup, notifications, and snooze. Question 1. What app(s) meet or exceed the Ring app? Question 2. What 2k-4k camera has the best night vision? SUGGESTION: Shoot a video comparing apps and also include which features are important and why.
I purchaased the 4 camera kit a few weeks ago and I'm not impressed at all especially with how much i paid, expected a lot more for the money and for it to be better quality. hub is low quality and not easy to setup at all. Memory card supplied didn't even work and wasn't 64gb as advertised. Think i will return. I've used Ring cams for years and they are much better in every way. Just my opinion and honest experience. Thanks for putting the video up as there wasn't any a few weeks ago.
I bought Swann here in Australia. Im suffering from buyers remorse

Sorry you have buyers remorse - I've heard that more often than not about Swann.

@@jcm9698 The only reason why I chose Swann Allsecure 4k is that the battery can be changed. Eufy and Reolink have built-in sealed batteries inside the cameras which is no good for me.
What are your favorite camera brands and models? I've unfortunately had a lot of issues with Eufy's software but for the price the hardware is amazing
I’ve been looking forward to this video. Great job, but Eufy killer it is not. Swann had some nice features on the system, however, they’ve added so many limitations it’s not worth the buy. They’ve released an inferior product and want to test and patch after market release. If anything there are things Eufy could emulate from this product to improve their own security system.

I've noticed that alot of the Older camera companies that have migrated into the smart camera market are not doing so well when it comes to this. Even Amcrest IMO. The cameras themselves can be impressive BUT their App interface is terrible for most users and is very "NVR'ish" with other issues like touches not registering, terrible menu, all that.
Thanks for reviewing this one. I doubt Swann provided it and when I checked KZread, I couldn't find any reviews that weren't tied to the company it seemed. This product looked nice on paper, but from my previous Swann experience, they tend to over promise and under deliver. That seems to be true still based on what I saw. I would be curious how a regular wi-fi based camera would fair if you put a wireless router the same spot you tested the hub. I know this would be extra cost, but I think a small on board memory card that can serve as a buffer would be helpful on devices like this that are trying to stream to a hub. Would help keep the quality and FPS at a higher quality. PS...You are doing great if you are still rocking that 900Mhz cordless phone! 😂

more of the same mediocre stuff. 15 FPS? come on. its been same specs over and over for the last nearly 5 years. Especially in a wide field of view, reduce the resolution, increase bitrate, increase FPS. software/hardware and overall tech can do this no problem but these companies are milking the industry
There are so many better options on the matket. Their market has always been low cost bundles at places like Costco. Hard to see them moving up.
I owned Swan products before and never again.
Damn. Is Swann engineering team working from their bedroom? What is that trash🙄
Nah.....I'll pass. To confusing jumping between the hub and app.
Swann won’t update the app for this camera settings. They would already be developing their next product, the Swann Mega Ranger, it uses the 800mhz and gets 2fps from 15k feet, coupled with that reliable PIR tech, it’s going to be competitive in the market. 😂
Im not convinced to switch from eufy
15 frames per second is a complete waste of time

15fps is completely normal for most security cameras. I've got Reolink and TP-Link battery cameras and they only record at 15fps.
It still blows my mind that these companies will release products that have so many problems . .. this camera should have never went into production it's got way too many issues especially for somebody just starting out and has no clue what to do with setting up a camera. People need to do their research that's why we come to your channel lol. Thanks for the review I know I won't be buying this camera .
