Barbie and the swan lake was a beautiful movie, I watch it even today, after 15 years, it gives me goosebumps, especially because of this background score, which is brilliantly composed!

I can here the sadness and pain that is expressed through this music and I LOVE IT.

It makes me feel like I'm in another world I'm in the sky, and i can fly

Beautiful and sad. Music touches your heart so deeply.

This song feels different when you understand the dramatic story behind it. Black swan (though strayed from the original story) was a perfect representation of the sentiment of the piece.

@@brigittegigi9224 The original story is of a prince falling for the swan queen, Odette. An evil sorcerer cast a spell on her to make her human only between midnight and daybreak. To break this spell, Odette needs true love- and the sorcerer, Baron Von Rothbart, decided to prevent it by transforming his own daughter Odile into Odette’s twin (black swan of the white swan, her shadow in other words). In the end, the prince is fooled by Odile’s seduction and ends up swearing his love to the black swan, dooming Odette to her death. In most productions the prince kills himself upon realization. The story had such controversy that the ended up changing it in 1984 to a happy ending. That was the original story- but the movie named black swan captured the feelings of paranoia and anxiety , the transformation and contrast between the black and the white swan (in the movie she plays both her white and her black side). She’s conflicted and rather than getting killed by the sorcerer she ends up committing suicide, heartbroken. It was an impactful change, well-minded too- in my opinion at least.
