Shoptaugh graduated from Vaganova Ballet Academy in 2013, class of T.A. Udalenkova (director Altynai Asylmuratova)
Upon graduation, Shoptaugh had contract offers to a number of companies in Europe, the USA, and Russia! Shoptaugh accepted a contract with Slovak National Ballet in 2013, was promoted directly to Soloist in 2016, and promoted to the top rank of *Prima ballerina in January 2020. Shoptaugh is currently Principal ballerina with the company
