2 days till St. Patrick's Day! ☘️
(Yes, it is actually 4 days SINCE St. Paddy's Day... Still catching up on my countdown, better late than never)!
Here's a taste of what I did during the big 2024 St. Patrick's weekend! On Saturday 3/16/2024 I joined my good friend JJ McAuliffe for some tunes on his float in the Downtown Racine parade. We had the good fortune of being surrounded by a troupe of pirates for the entire route, which certainly enhanced our performance (and they were giving out candy which made our float extra popular among the kids)!
Special thanks to JJ, McAuliffe's Pub in Racine, the pirates, and Scott Markus for filming the entire thing! I'm sure I will share clips of other tunes, as we played a good number of them on the route. The fine folks of Racine were very gracious and seemed to enjoy the music!
Following the parade, JJ and I ran around town doing mini performances to raise funds and awareness for a very special cause, The Shaymus Guinn Foundation. The people of Racine were incredibly generous, donating over $2000 for the charity. HUGE thanks to everyone who contributed! ❤️
