Very nice bhajan. Though I am not from south India but I started my career from Chennai and have spent a brief amount of time in Mysore as well. I got to know the culture very closely and I liked it very much...I believe its a true Hindu culture. South India will always be close to my heart.

There are hundreds of Sanskrit "bhajans" from South Indian composers which are very commonly sung on various occasions, which unfortunately North Indian classical singers are unaware or not trained to sing. Swagatham Krishna, Venkata Chala Nilayam, Bhajare Manasa, Samajavaragamana, Vatapi Ganapathim bhaje ham, Manasa sanacharare, Pibare rama rasam, Sita kalyana vaibhogame, Ranga pura vihara, Deva deva bhaje ham, Bhavayami gopala balam, are some of the common ones. Try listening to them. Calling them bhajans is technically not correct (they are referred to as "kriti") because they are usually sung with the full employment of musical techniques including manodharma, which is unnecessary in Bhajans since the latter is sung to enhance your spiritual experience rather than as musical entertainment.
