After wwe 2006 THQ started to focus more on next generation Console games... No weapons physics in 2011 ps2

I agree wwe had fantastic stage designs back then. Now it's all similar and boring.

this game has a logic problem: Big Show weighs more than Khali, but Khali is Ultra Heavy-weight and Big Show "only" a Super Heavy-weight.

another one would be Super Crazy and Joey Mercury. Mercury is listed as a heavyweight and Super Crazy a cruiserweight even though Super Crazy they're about the same weight

When I think of this game 1 thing always comes to mind, the Great Khali being completely OP with the weight class system. For some reason he is put as an ultra heavyweight, even though Big Show was put as a super heavyweight, meaning only like 4 wrestlers could even do any moves to him and all being slower characters. They had a bunch of mini tournaments at WrestleMania access events leading up to WrestleMania 23 and I remember the officials running those events mentioning that Khali was winning most of the tournaments

Best wrestling game ever along with WWE Here Comes The Pain, Shut Your Mouth and WWE SVR 2010

I always switched the control style to the "B" setting where u use the buttons and d pad for control instead of analog stick. A great game, it's also very nostalgic, and has a loaded soundtrack. Only issue is a few omissions. Spirit squad, Jamie noble, and Paul London and Kendrick would've made the game even better.

The only thing what I always hated about the SvR series is how small both the WWE and World titles are...it's not that hard to get them the correct size.

I want to add to this, the A.I. in this game was beyond smarter than any A.I. wwe game has presented before, for example, I played a elimination tag match, and my partner was counted out so I was down to me vs the a.i. tag team, and I remember one of the a.im grabbing a chair and splitting me open with it (which I let him) and I laughed bc he got dq'd but then his partner walks in and pins me and gets the W! May I also add I remember this game being hard to win matches, it was no cake walk and you had to deeply strategize to win, the weaker opponent was out by one finisher which was still a bitch to get but when you faced a super star it was absolute hell, best and last game wwe got right

Oh my god this takes me back!! This was the first WWE game that I owned. I think I played 2006 at a friends house but then I bought 2007 and I was hooked until 2010. Such classic and fun games

my second favorite game in the series, bested only by svr 08. I love you for reminding me of this

Dr. Daniel 316 Agreed the roster was lacking, they took away any real season mode, the gameplay got repetitive after about an hour of playing. SvR 2008 was a huge step down for the games. Then again 2007 was a huge step down year for WWE so.

Only thing I could find was developers wanted to concentrate their resources on other game systems. Whatever they meant by that. I know the PS3 was new at that time you'd think Yukes /Thq would push to try to make a good game to show off in a new system but they've been lazy for years wasn't surprised when THQ went bankrupt.

It was impossible to deliver something in time. The PS3 was very hard to develop for, this is why most multiplatform games started with a 360 version and got port over if possible or stayed exclusive.

This was the game where I started running my own personal WWE shows and PPVs. Absolutely loved this SVR title; wish I still had my PS2 so I can play it again because I still have all my SVR games plus the 2K ones as well.

I spent so many countless hours playing this game on PSP, I loved it so much. I recently ordered a copy of this game and 2006 for my PS2

SVR 2007: -Had responsive gameplay as Here Comes the Pain. -More advanced gameplay mechanics [like interactive environments]. -Wrestler face models were better than newer games. -Impressive graphics. Also the last great WWE game. Every other WWE game after SVR 2007 are sluggish [Which also got worse with the introduction of Next gen WWE games aka 2k15+] and lacks features. Gameplay, animations and physics actually got worse and looks unrealistic at times [Especially WWE 2k15+].

@Simon Chase yeah I got Day of Reckoning and the later SVRS like 10 and 11. I hated SVR 08 and 09. I always ended up back to n64 and GCN. I played SVR05 that was similar to Day of Reckoning. And yeah already got PS1 Smackdown games

This was one of my first Xbox 360 games I got when I got the Xbox 360 for Christmas in 2006, along with Gears of War and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

This was the wwe game we played the most, back then i wanted 2006 wwe svr because that was probably what i think my friends had at the time (it's actually 2005 svr wwe game) we end up having such fun memories in 2007 wwe svr so must, such shame i cannot make masked vs kane sadly. But tye analog fight controls was amazing.

Great video man , and it was great to hear the theme of a create wrestler of Wrestlemania 2000 at the begining :D

When i was a kid they were showing off the feature that you can spin the spinner belt during an entrance and at the time i thought that shit was groundbreaking 😂

Glad to see you still doing this series. I enjoy the content and the nostalgia. Hope you do the rest of the WWE games and maybe even add in the COD games

one of my favorite smackdown vs raw games

This was my favorite smackdown game. I loved the story mode, and I loved GM mode even more in this one 06 had a better roster, but playing this one on the Xbox 360 Just felt so much cooler The worst part about it though were those damn load times. Loading screens in between loading screens

THIS is the last truly great wrestling game. 08 was the biggest disappointment ever and I never feel like they really ever got back to this level. It's a perfect game for me. I loved playing this game in 06. I wasn't gonna get it but my mom accidentally pre ordered it because she knew I loved wrestling

A fantastic era as far as stage designs go pretty much describe WWE in the 2000s up til they adapted the HD stage, and I like minitrons as much as the next guy, but spice things up a lil guys.

Loved this game had it on psp and eventually xbox 360 .. The psp load times were real bad sometimes 👎🏽 hah

That song is from Wrestlemania X8 for the GameCube, it plays while creating a wrestler.

I got over halfway through this before realizing that the background music was from the WM 18 game, I knew it sounded familiar.

5:17 i remember just going outside the ring and doing stuff on my phone and let AI do all the work and when there is little bit left in that MITB meter i would go in the ring and then win the match

If you turn off the stamina feature, the AI will actually continue with some environmental grapples to the point of disqualification.

He was fired at the time. He wanted more time for his band Fozzy. He returned in late 2007, which is why he is in svr 2009.

My all time favourite and best game.I tried svr2008 but no other game touched the joy and charm that this game have LEGENDRY GAME .Love from India💖

I used to buy and unlock everything in this game. It was such a small detail but I just loved decking out my locker room area.

Since I didn't buy SvR2007, can there be a com vs com match between two created Wrestlers with a created Title on the line? I know on SvR2006 it's not possible but possible on SvR2008. Same thing happens to me I heard THQ didn't fix this glitch before releasing this game but they did fix it for the xbox 360 version

I remember throwing the ladder on top of a table that was also set up on top of the announcers table and climbing the ladder with another wrestlering and having an ultimate high fight on top of it all lol

My all time favorite wresting game.

I missed out on this game but I've heard so many great things., I'm buying it for Xbox 360 even though it's 2019.

The aerial realism was cool wish they had done that with 2k19

Two things I remember this game for is the customizable locker room/loft and the song "Animal I've Become by Three Days Grace".
