Er no, it's not, all crossovers with sf in, snk was nerfed to occupy the stiff as slow sf style. Cvs would be the best of the series, although snk had to take a massive dip to scale to sf levels so it can actually be balanced

This game is so freakin fun man. The mechanics in this game are next level

That is not a sequel for this game, though. SvC and CvS are two completely different games

Which is interesting because this game is more traditional Capcom/SF-ish according to the mechanics (minus it not being a 6 button fighter). No Roll Evades, Dual Button Grab, among other things are SF/Capcom. Most of the mechanics people like in CVS games are SNK mechanics. Roll Evades, Short Hops/Hyper Hops, Guard Cancel Blowbacks/Alpha Counters, Heck the Super Meter in general is an SNK mechanic, Rage, and other mechanics all are from SNK. Also funny how Capcom took some of SNK mechanics and put it into their grooves because no SF game has had roll evades (unless you want to count Ken's roll somewhat), yet they have it in C-Groove. Also funny how A groove's custom combo last muuucchhhh longer than in Alpha which only lasts about 1.5 seconds but in CVS2, it lasts almost 10 seconds. Talk about not done properly, lets also talk about how Capcom nerfed 80% of the SNK cast in CvS games. Level 2 Orochinagi getting beat by basic fireballs instead of dissolving them, Kyo's specials take waayyy longer to become active, Iori's Rekkas as well, Yamazaki's arm slap is single hit instead of multi hit, King oh lord... Ryo has no parry, borderline no Armor on any of their moves, and so much more. Capcom did however do a good job with Haohmaru, Hibiki, Vice and Nakoruru, borderline everybody else was severely nerfed so the Capcom cast could keep up.

@@Blackcuts Yama is high tier and would be even higher if capcom didn't nerf his moves. Same with iori. It took people over a decade to finally start using him. Iori was in rotation though. Top tier is Sagat, Cammy, Blanka, Bison, Sakura, some would argue Geese and Vega. I follow Bas, Jwong, Combofiend etc. All you basically see in tournament at top level is Sagat, Blanka and Sakura/Bison. Every now and then you'll see Rolento, iori and Geese. Just recently are we starting to see the SNK cast be used in high level play. Yamazaki doesnt hit multiple times on his dirt kick, arm snap doesn't hit multiple times, iori doesnt have his overhead dp+k, let alone his projectile moves super slow, Joe takes so long to become active on his special kick (literally has to fly halfway across the screen before he decides to actually kick), tornadoes take waayyy too long to actually release and they dont go nearly as far, Terry's crackshoot hits only 1 time and leaves him vulnerable for waayyy too long, No Fire Kick or Power Charge, Kyo basically has no armor on his rekkas or dp anymore, Kim doesnt have his rekka kicks nor does his Hangetsuzan Cartwheel Kick knockdown, the list goes on. The SNK characters I can say Capcom did well were Vice, Rock, Geese, Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Hibiki. Dont get me wrong, the game is fun and I enjoy watching it. No denying that but I realize what Capcom did to the SNK cast in order to make it more fair for their cast.

@@GHOST5691. typically the only people that debate that the SNK cast is fine in CVS games are the Predominant Capcom fans that barely ever played SNK games. If you have really played KOF, AOF, FF/RB/Garou, Sam Sho, Etc, you definitely notice the nerfs. The games are still fun don't get me wrong but it's blatantly obvious that Capcom had to nerf 80% of the SNK cast whilst buffing their own cast/mechanics/meter in order to allow their characters to keep up.
