Imao sam šest godina samo, majka moja sa dvoje male djece, brat i ja, otac nije tu....sjećam se ove pjesme tad, tad sam plakao, i sad plačem evo...Ovo je bio krik, zov upomoć gospođici Evropi i međunarodnoj zajednici, ali niko nas nije čuo. Hvala gospođo Evropo, hvala međunarodna zajednico, snašli smo se, živi smo, ali zahvaljujući našim borcima! Vama na obraz sve što ste "uradili" !

I was 16 years old girl sitting in the dark and waiting for explosion to stop. We were left in the dark and whole world was watching. This song is so powerful and only people who know what happened in Bosnia during this time can feel sadness and hopelessness.

@@Eve_36963 Yes, but Bosnia sufferd the most casualties since WW2. Bosnia stood againts 40000 artillery shels and tank bombs, 300000 bullet shotd were fired each month. A lot of stuff happened.

I remember this very well. Bosnia's conductor had not been able to make the plane to Ireland because it was not safe for him to travel to the airport. Noel Kelehan, the conductor for the Irish entry, stepped in to conduct the orchestra for this performance. RIP, Noel. You were a true gentleman.

@@donroka1 it was a civil war.... brutal religious war between 3 nations who lived in Bosnia. Serbia and Croatia have been supporting their compatriots but the islamic countries like Turkey and Iran were on the muslim side.

I'm not Bosnian, nor do i have any connection to this incredible country, still this song makes me cry. I first learned about the Bosnian war in 2017 or 2018 when i did a presentation about Amnesty International. While i did research, i found a page 'worst things in Amnesty's history' there stood the name of a village that was massacred Srebrenica. It opened my eyes, I looked up Srebrenica and the history, I was shocked when i read that over 8000 people died. I talked about it for weeks, how the hell didn't i know that, it was like a mini Holocaust. Since that day i learned a lot about the war, and i have to say this, Bosnia I'm sorry Europe is a ignorant piece of shit, Im sorry your beautiful country had to suffer, I'm sorry we didn't help, all love and peace to you all the way from a ignorant country called Belgium

It is sad that innocent people have died and young men had to start training like military in those situations and instead of chasing after girls and hanging out with your best buds you chase around another young man and you're the same actually it's just that he has a different uniform or it wasn't young men all the time but bitter old guys but we are like a group of siblings here in the Balkans only thing is we never grow out of those childish fights but hey here's to no more wars between brothers wish us luck Also cheers to Belgium I met some of you online and not a single one of you was rude or anything to me I hope to visit your beautiful country one day

This song is about war. Amazing how they managed to come to participate to Eurovision while their cities were bombed and civilians killed. It's the first time ever Bosnia performed as a separate country from Yugoslavia. Will never forget this song.

It's like today ... I remember those bloody times. I was 26 then. and I was (then) in the uniform of the AR BiH 5th Corps of the AR BiH .. Then Ramiz Dreković was our commander (5th Corps )..Hard times, the Chetniks attacked like bloodthirsty dogs ..

Srećom nisam doživeo taj jebeni rat... Imao sam 8 godina kad je počeo rat u Bosni... Kroz ovih tri minuta ove pesme mi se čini kao da sam preziveo sva ta stradanja, svu tu strepnju i sav taj ponos i dostojanstvo... Da se nikada i nigde više zlo ne ponovi... Ziva bila i Bosna i moja Srbija... Zivi bili svi dobri ljudi ma ko god oni bili, ma kako god se oni zvali...

Gledao sam sve snimke rata u Sarajevu i ne mogu da zamislim kako je prezivetu sve ono 1500 dana bez icega u potpuno srusenom gradu gde ti je svakog trenutka zivot ugrozen... Ja sam otac jednog decaka i odkad imam njega drugacije gledam na sve i uvek stavljam sebe u taj polozaj tih devedesetih kad su deca bila meta i kad su vasi roditelji prvo strahovali za vase zivote pa tek za svoje... A kolko je ljudi i dece stradalo tad... 11950 ljudi... Preko 1500 dece... Strasno... Uvek se najezim kad pomislim na to vreme...

Sanela Bosna hvala ti puno, ali takvih bi trebalo vise da ima... Povraca mi se vise od nacionalista i njihovih prica... Zbog takvih ludaka nevini ljudi stradaju... Jel vas neko pitao da li vi zelite to sto ste doziveli ili ne... Ne samo vas nego sve ljude u tom prokletom ratu od 91-e do 96-e...Da li je neko nas pitao 99-e da li zelimo da nas neko bombarduje 77 dana... I na kraju veliko nista... Razrusena zemlja, stradao grdan narod...nekada smo svi ziveli zajedno i bili smo jaci od svih... Pored rodjenja sina jedan od najdrazih datuma u zivotu mi je 25 novembar 2011-e godine kad sam bio na koncertu Dina Merlina u areni... Uvek sam nailazio na price od ljudi kao gde on... On mrzi Srbe i takve gluposti... a ja ih uvek pitam da li bi oni voleli da prezive on o sto je on i svi ti ljudi tamo...

Joj, kako se sjecanja vracaju, tada sam imala pet godina ali kad god cujem ovu pjesmu vrati mi se miris zemunica, objave za opasnost , crvenih svjetlecih metaka ( tako smo ih tad kao djeca zvali), vrati mi se miris petrolejske lampe , budjenja uz onaj grozni, strasni zvuk kada bismo iz kreveta ustajali i puzajuci bjezali u podrume.... Sjecam se svih bolnih trenutaka, smrti ljudi iz obitelji, vriske, sjecam se plavog Man-a kad su nas ubacili na prikolicu....sve je ostalo i nikad otici nece... A zbog čega, zbog cijih ideala?! Svi smo mi jedan narod, svi smo mi braca, da se nikad nikom ne ponovi!

Samo jedna riječ. Jeza. Čitavim tijelom. Kako smo ostavljeni sami i kako su nam sve oduzeli da nas samo izbrišu s mape. Ali mi nismo bili sami imali smo Njega 👆.

Boze imala sam samo 10 godina. Otišli su na evroviziju da bi ovu pjesmu otpjevali kao poziv u pomoć ali nam niko nije pomogao. Sva bol svijeta je tada bila u Bosni i Hercegovini 😢😢😢😢 eh Bosno moja pohorana šta ti dušmani i dan danas rade 😢

Why this song was being played 46 bodies were buried in and around Sarajevo. At the same time world community was imposing Arms embargo on Bosnia so Bosnia couldn't defend its own people. This song represents souls of those people who gave their lives to defend Bosnia and those who participated in it. Shame on so called civilized western world and so called Freedom and Democracy.

Well, for starters, the Serbs who invaded Bosnia aren't very happy with this song because it sings of Bosnian strength in the face of great danger. So I reckon they'd dislike it.

For a country in Bosnia's situation at that time to send a song like that is incredible! Well done to noel kelehan for stepping in and conducting the entry. The wood percussion throughout really lifted the bass

Bože dragi kada se sjetim...ne ljudskog ološa,stradanja,gladi žedji,boli..ne toga ne...nego s kolikim ponosom i snagom me ova pjesma nosila kroz ta doba. Ali pjevač to iznosi sa tolikom dozom dostojanstva unatoč boli ko da kaže"neće nas nestati" unatoč svim dušmanima.Bosanski ponos i inat vrišti iz njega. I opet koliko je bosanska pjesma daleko iznad ostalih,bez ikakvog poredjenja. Halal vam vjera

😭 The most painful year of my life. I hope the year 1993 never repeats it self ever again. Lost way too much then and although it was 23 years ago, the pain and saddest of memories still remain. May there be peace ✌️ in the whole world 🌎 especially now in the middle east that is unfortunately happening! An art form as this sends a bigger messages to the world that a country like Bosnia back 1993 needed humanity to unite and help and I'm sure these performers and song writers were motivated to go by expressing the pain they and the whole country were having back in 1993. And saying to the world, look we're alive and we exist as a independent country and here is what we've to express in an art form thanks to this Eurovision platform. 🙏 What an amazing songs, it honestly gives me chills and tears!

​​@@irfet1Da, gledsla sam.intervju....On je ustvari zgrabio priliku da zbriše....Očito je bio dobro umrežen jer on nije bio uopšte poznat pjevačkoj sceni, t a evrovizija je bila legalna bijeg ( planiran, ne slučajan), da ne budeš dezerter.

Tada bili dio Evrovizije, a sada nas nema nigdje.Pjesma koja sve govori i koja je napisana iz duse.

prezivjeo kao dijete cijeli rat , ovo me podsjeca na patnju nas tada dijece patnju nase drzave , ali ipak smo poslali ljude da nas predstave onakve kakvi jesmo , nikom zlo nemislimo postujemo sve narode svijeta, Bosne je bilo i bice je za sva vremena , tada sam bio u izbjeglistvu , a evo hvala bogu u svojoj kuci rodnom mjestu gledam euroviziju na koju nazalost nema nikog da nas predstavi sto je cista sramota.

It is sad how the country which tried to keep the convivence spirit of Yugoslavia was the one that was mistreated by every other countries of Yugoslavia. I am Catalan and I am fascinated about Bosnia since I was 8 years old. It was because an old children's magazine from 1994 called Reporter DOC. They talked about Żlata Filipović also. I remember seeing the recordings of an old man who had gone to collect water running back home with sounds of explosions behind him, etc. But I also remember a documentary of Bosnia after the war and one of the most cute parts was when a school in Sarajevo nowadays of 3-year old children who were singing and holding their hands, they were both Bosniak, Serb, and Croat and they were all singing ljuuuuuubi ljuuuuubi ljuuuuubi

I real a lot of comments talking about coming back here after Ukraine's victory. I, myself, just found out about this (i wasn't even born during the Yugoslav wars). I am so sorry for the treatment that the Bosnian delegation had to endure, and I am glad to see that Europe has grown and learned about empathy and unity in 30 years...the difference between what Fazla and Kalush have received is astounding, good for us that we learned the lesson. However I wanted to say that us Ukranians understand your pain: it's the first time ever that the world is listening to us, and not turning it's back, and we know how it feels to have your sufferings being dismissed, even genoicides being unrecognized. Please forgive us for what Europe did so long ago

This song is simply beautiful, haunting in an unusual way. Even without understanding the lyrics I was easily swayed and after reading the translation... wow. Majorly underrated - maybe it didn't match the trends of 1993, maybe the subject matter was too uncomfortable, maybe it was the very idea of a country at war hosting ESC... Doesn't matter, still one of my favorites.

Poziv u pomoc nikad i nisu htjeli cuti, njihov scenarij je i bio da se dogodi taj masakr, genocid, ubijanje krvolocno nevinih ljudi, takav zlocin ie sposoban samo amerikanac osmislit, i vjerujem da je uz te mladiceve olose bilo i dosta amera obucenih u njihove odore, samo se sjetite sta su radili do 90.' po svijetu, gdje dode amer tu ima jako puno zla, a nitko njihov nije zavrsio u Haagu, a zasto? Oni su serifi u svijetu, mrtvu majku im jb..
