Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Ride Review and specs, Impressive!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hey guys, I finally got the chance to ride the all new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and I must say I was Impressed. I'm a huge fan of the Yamaha Tenere and didn't think their was a bike out there that would hit the mark for me in this catagory other than the Yamaha. I was Wrong. This new motorcycle from Suzuki is well balanced, handles great, has a great seating position and the quick shifter is flawless! It produces more power and has a slightly larger engine displacement then the T7 also. I look forward to riding the new Honda Transalp we just received so I can compare the 3 side by side. Thanks for sticking with me and checking out my Fast Jax Metrics! #suzuki #vstrom #adventurebike #adventure #motorcycle #motorcycle #review #reviews #motorcyclereview
you can read much more about this motorcycle at Suzuki.com and can check one out for sale HERE: Panamacitycycles.com (while it remains)

So far, I cannot find even one person that likes the 800DE, except for those that have ridden one. THEY fall in love. I should never have taken that short ride on a showcase bike. Now I have to decide: The DR650 or the DR800 (800DE). Damn them. Oh, yeah, I think that upping the RPMs when the clutch starts to let out is not just in 1st. I've two older '18 Suzuki's with the same system and I've been saved by it when pulling 4th gear take-offs from a dead start. So great was it, I have been purposely taking off in 5th (very doable) and 6th (Success, but hit or miss) for fun. All three will do 90mph in 3rd gear, yet, on the V-Strom's, you can be in 2nd at 4mph and tractor right alone.

I've never been a huge fan of the V-Strom, solely due to the beak, I know it's a love or hate for most people but that small gripe aside I wasn't genuinely expecting to be impressed with the DE. However, It shocked me. Like most, I have my doubts about Suzuki. Yes, they're starting to bring more bikes to the table that are impressive but never update or change the popular bikes like the DRZ400sm that have done well for them. So, I find myself being biased because of all the dated Suzuki motorcycles they continue to neglect year after year. I will soon ride the GSX-8S and after riding this I'm sure it will also surprise me. If Suzuki would update some of their staple bikes like DR650 I think I'd be more a fan of the brand. But, I'd own this bike and If I were you, I'd get the DE. It was a fantastic ride, well engineered and will likely be extremely reliable. I heard a guy say the other day "Suzuki is the Toyota of motorcycles" and the more I think about that statement the more it makes sense. They never change much but they always run right!

Hey. I know your comment was three months ago, but I have had my 800DE for 1000 miles and 100% recommend it. It's easy to work on and there are plenty of mods for it. There is even a company that will have a cruise control add on coming out this year if that's a must for you.

The 800DE is a much better adventure bike than the Transalp.

got my name ,money, and trading my 2017dl650xt on a 2024 800de. don't get me wrong, the dl650 is a great edc bike, but for rougher back country stuff you have to take it realy slow. if this is just a klr on steroids, perfect!

I wanted a klr on steroids and I would say that's exactly what the 800de is, i got it about a week and a half ago, better in every way, quick, does the highway great, bone stock the suzuki kills my heavily modded klr with full cogent suspension and all the upgrades you can do to a klr, the vstrom handles amazing on the road, nimble, the tech on the bike is simple and works great, I think your going to love it
