Suzuki recently invited us to the lush green forests and misty mountains of Kodaikanal to sample their latest ADV-tourer - the V-Strom 250 SX. It is based on the same platform as the Gixxer 250 and utilizes the same powertrain as well. However, it has some noteworthy additions and upgrades that make it more long-distance friendly. But is it capable enough to ruffle some feathers in this segment which generally experiences cutthroat competition? We found the answer.

    Hi Sir, confused between Suzuki vstorm 250 sx and Royal Enfield classic 350 reborn. Which one to buy? My requirements are good long tourer, after sale service costs, resale value, comfortable riding position. Please suggest

    If you are 5'8" and above go with V storme 250. It's an out n out tourer, Not good for hard core, or medium off road adventures. It's very light, peppy engine. Bold tall looks n head turner. Combined with good mileage. Take a test ride u know.

    Since the weight of the motorcycle isn't that hefty and the seat too, is tapered at the edges, you can easily manage the motorcycle. Might require getting used to it first. And no, there isn't any option to lower the seat height. The best way to determine the same is to go and have a test ride!

    Suzuki offers Low seat option with that seat height comes to 815mm.

    Hi Bro, nice review! I ride xpulse 200 and I love my bike a lot. My height is 5.5 and I can easily handle that even on off roading, however, I am planning to switch to VStrom due to its power and performance. So, do let me know what’s your height and will I be able to handle this as it’s seat height is more than Xpulse. Currently, in my vicinity this bike is not available so I am not able to test ride this

    Hi bro i have booked the bike and took the test ride. I m 5 feet 10" and my whole feet doesn't touch down so for your height i think i will be difficult. The seat height comes with one inch less height also. You have to test ride for sure.

    I am 5'9 and I managed the bike easily. For someone of your height, it might take some getting used to but since it isn't a heft motorcycle, handling it shouldn't be hard after you're accustomed to it.

    @@anantpandey2362 hi bro , I am already using xpulse and that has 825 mm seat height and since it’s lighter in weight I can easily manoeuvre that but I am not sure if I can handle this one due to seat height that is the only issue

    I am 5 9". Just test rode the bike. wearing 1inch sole boots, the whole feet was planted on the ground. Bike is narrow so seat height is not comparable.

    Handles beautifully. Mostly because the chassis is almost similar to the Gixxer. Twisties is where it belongs!

    I've ridden the sf 250, which has the same engine. U can drive at 120kmph with minor vibes and at 110 it's smooth as butter

    from other reviews seems like Vstrom 250 has same suspension as Older Gixxer 250s and i own the gixxer 250 suspension is not good for bad roads My friends with F250 and Dominar 250s glide through bad roads

    Suspension is slightly on the stiffer side and I would recommend rather than slowing down on minor potholes, stand on your footpegs and let the 205mm of ground clearance show its magic!

    It sure would have helped if it was priced at around the 2 lakh mark but if you are looking for a more comfortable Gixxer for those long highway miles, the V-Strom SX still makes sense!

    Suzuki really missed out the pricing. 2.13 should have been the on road price...At 2.54 onroad is on the higher side.

    I just took small test ride today. Disappointed😞. Gear was so hard, I had to press really hard., could have hurt. Position of leg is bit backward so didn't find comfortable and the rear suspension is hard.

    Yes I had the same experience felt the gear shift was quite hard especially between the first and the second one and the suspension at the that back was not soft and it wasn't up to my mark
