Thanks you for this! I likely will never tear down my diff, fingers crossed, but this was very informative! Now I know what go on in there! Not straight cut, but helical gears. Never knew that.

Came to see how you remove the rear diff seal. How was it to remove? They tap back in pretty easy after? Gotta replace one.

No I never took a video of the reassembly.

Did you ever do the install video? My wife drove it for 8 miles with the rear brake on and fried the brakes and rear boots. Need to take the whole rear end out replace the brake discs and whatever else…

I never did do the install unfortunately because it was hard to film an actually be able to see what I was doing. But once you get it out and apart it should be pretty straight forward. You might have to replace the bearings in it as well if it got that hot.

Just blew my rear today. Didn’t tear anything apart yet. This video will be very helpful
