What you're picking up on is Yam's personal desires about motorcycles, and why he wishes lots of people would have the same view regarding a product. It's the lack of truly objective take on motorcycles. He's transparent about what he likes from motorcycles and doesn't care for. Yet, that colors reviews subtly and overtly, as faint praise.

@@exothermal.sprocket luckily most of us(I hope) can see for ourselves what we want through a variety of reviews with all the necessary information. I don't expect people to be fully unbiased, as it isn't even possible in most if not all industries. Motorcycle reviews, journalism, whatever it is, people will insert their biases. Only natural if we're honest.

@@exothermal.sprocketwhat kind of objectivity do you want? Outside of just listing specs there isn't much objectivity to speak about. Basically everything is an opinion and therefore subjective. How it rides, engine sound/characteristics, thoughts on features, etc are all subjective. All reviews are inherently subjective

I have a 2023 GSXS750 and honestly all I would want from the 8R is updated dash and fairings. The 750 seating position is good for long rides, 100hp and actually bangs twisties really well. If it had a real fairing kit on it and an updated display and lights, it would make the best inline 4 street bike. It’s still very capable but it’s a little sad that they neglected giving it the 8S-8R treatment. It was 90% of the way there and they just said “No”

ZX6R still packs a solid punch with having a 4 cylinder too like the CBR650R. As others mentioned the GSX-S 750 proven throughout the years as a solid bike, I do think it'll get an update soon with the new dash etc. Also used market wise, plenty of choice for naked or sport bikes having a 4 cylinder engine. Heck even a Triple or Twin or a Single. Seems like the next giveaway is an MT09. Curious to the vids.

Nice review, thanks. A cool road motorcycle. I like fairings covering all the parts so it's less easy for strangers to tamper with when parked and in a store away from the bike. I wonder what the fuel range is on this 8R from a full tank? I can go to a comfortable 203 mile range on a 4.0 tank on my Ninja 650 '21. Okay, thanks, so about 170 miles range for the 8R average maybe.

The zx4rr requires you to rev the hell out of it to get much speed going. So you'll be shifting a lot and revving it out. The 8r would probably be better for daily use as you won't need to shift so much and it'll probably be more comfortable seating position. Just my thoughts. The zx4rr is best for a track bike. Also if you're American you're gonna get the restricted version which limits it's horsepower quite a lot.

I just brought a Black Suzuki V-strom 250 SX. while it was sitting in the show room, it has a SV650 sitting next to it keeping it company. I told the salesman I like the SV650's, especially the riding position, but if only it looked like the 8S, because that's a bit of me... It was obvious from his facial expression that he agreed, the 8S is a little busy looking, but lined up next to all the other bikes the 8S stands out, and in my opinion is the best looking bike Suzuki has right now... I just wish there was a 4S, because with the license rules, I can ride a bike up to 660cc and 47hp. I can't ride a GSX250 because they are physically too small, and I can't move my feet in that position, but a bike the size of an 8S or 8R with a 400cc engine, and the looks of either, People like me who are over 6 foot would flock to them like seagulls to a bag of cheetos

I'd snatch one now if your thinking of wanting one. In the next year or so there won't be any. I'm thinking of snagging up a new gsxr750 soon. At least if I want one I'll have it and not miss out

Seating position is very bad ...you are sitting on the bike not in the bike...and not good for long rides.
