Hi- I went up the North, thought I would find you there by chance. but it seems you are still stuck with mechanics. here are some tips: for most part only telenor sim will work or none will work, but for data you will need to buy a local sim called SCO which works from Chilas onwards with 4G internet, Zong sim data will not work, irrespective of their claim. 2- Road is reasonable, I am assuming you would take the Babusar Top route, because thats the wise thing to do, you would still have plenty of Karakoram Highway to drive on. I am assuming your driving skills are exceptional so you would take this Van easily to the top and drive it all the way down without failing breaks. Secondly also keep in mind the window to use Naran-Babusar Top route is closing in, usually its closed in September somewhere with first snow, and its going to happen anytime soon. 3- Chilas is not a friendly region, it has bad road (Chilas til Raikot), it is also prone to landslides, it also has a few not so friendly people who do bad things, so when you get down there try to keep driving till you reach Jaglot, (plan it to cross it in day time, anytime near 3-4, you wont be allowed to cross the Pass anyway, so make the drive early. from Jaglot you can drive to Hunza or Skardu, Skardu road is totally non-existent, its under construction, so it will be a hard and long drive, just like doing off roading, even if you take the Astore road, it too is totally non-existent, 15-20 km per hour, nothing more is achievable. lastly given that you are driving on Bolan van, your comfort will be 01/10 (but hey why not?). if you are going towards Hunza then its a smooth ride from Raikot (b/w Chilas and Jaglot; road to Nanga Parbat North view called fairy meadows, you cant drive up, need to hire a local jeep for 50 dollars or something). be strong. keep exploring, keep inspiring, cheers !!

Best Wises!!! It surely make too little HP compare to your vehicle which you will defiantly feel during rising altitude. Its rear wheel so remember to keep some weight during hill climb to find better traction :D
