I'm considering buying a bandit 600 as my first big bike, do you recommend it? I've been riding a 125 for a while and I drove a cb500x and felt very confortable with it so I think I'm ready for the next step 🙂

The Bandit is a great beginner bike. I also rode a 125ccm 2 years before. The bike is never going to overwhelm you and still has plenty of power for a low price. So yeah, I definitely can recommend this bike 👍.

Dont do it man. I bought my bandit off a guy who wanted to do the same thing. Never succeeded. He told me he was just going to buy a naked bike in stead of going through all the trouble it takes to convert the normal one.

Mine is from 95. It depends how the previous owner treated the bike, but for me it was a very reliable machine. 👌🏻

Run some ethanol gas additive through your gas tank if the MF doesn't work right. Easier than cleaning your carbs.

Die Cam ist unten in der Mitte am Helm mit Tesa Sugru befestigt (mein Helm ist zu spitz für nen normalen GoPro Kleber). Und die Cam hängt nach unten und nicht wie bei den meisten nach oben. Damit man perfekt in der Mitte ist und auch noch Lenker, Hände etc. sieht ✌🏻.

Nope, it's the normal killswitch. Turn her off, a bit of throttle, then turn her on and she pops and bangs 💥.

It's great for long rides, the seat is very comfortable and you're sitting pretty upright. My longest trip was about 500km and I was totally fine.

I press the kill switch, give her a little throttle, so some gasoline runs through the carburetor. If you're releasing the kill switch at the right moment, you're getting the bike to misfire 💥

@@KIOWA_BIKELIFE to creat a gigantic bang. Turn off the killswitch, slow down naturally so the revs will drop by 1,000 - 1,500 and then turn the killswitch back on.

It's a great bike, it was my first "real" bike too and I absolutely loved it. Mine is from 1995 and the location is northern germany. Ride safe ✌🏻.

@@bamoto8463 The red paint is still the original, only the black stripe I've done myself. The only downside to those old bikes is the missing ABS. But when they were treated right, they can run forever.

Die Bandit ist ein geniales Anfängerbike. Sie ist nicht zu teuer falls man sie doch wegwirft und man fühlt sich mit dem Motorrad nie überfordert. Man bringt die Bandit an ihre Grenzen und nicht anders herum. Wenn Geld keine Rolle spielt ist etwas neues mit ABS und Traktionskontrolle natürlich sicherer. ✌🏻

Ja hab auch ne 650er bandit von 2006😁 macht echt Bock und mit dem hurric supersport auspuff scheppert der Klang schon jut rein haha😍 ist noch gedrosselt aber selbst das bockt schon aber freue mich auch schon drauf wenn die Drossel im April nach dem A Lappen raus kommt :D

Wow

I'm sure you're most likely aware but your clutch is slipping a fair amount, maybe need to look at replacing both friction and metal plates. Not to mention the bikes not running too well, I'd suggest maybe Re-balancing the carbs and maybe even up-jetting for the exhaust system to help with that severe backfiring and sluggish pickup on acceleration (naturally inline 4s tend to back fire a little). Awesome video though 😊

Thanks for your nice comment, at the moment I´m not using the bandit cause I bought a new bike. But I´m aware of the slipping clutch ;). What makes you think that the bike isn't running too well? Its quite normal for old bandits to backfire. Maybe you´re worried about the big misfires , but they are forced by me with the kill switch (: ...

@@KIOWA_BIKELIFEgot to love the old 4 pot bikes, and no not all I saw you using the killswitch to invoke more runoff and such, I'm referring to the boggyness at low and mid revs and low hanging throughout the rev range which indicates to me a slightly misadjusted air/fuel mix. I've had an old bandit myself and sorted alot of issues throughout its life(70k miles+).

@@KIOWA_BIKELIFE I thought the engine sounded great, much smoother sounding than mine in the lower rev range. I have a 2000 Faired S (New style fairing which is heaps better looking than the original big square headlamp) (Bought a Fazer FZS1000 Now ☺) that is fun to ride and feels awesome when the power band is hit, you really got to hold on. Not sure why people keep refering to your bike as a 12 when you state clearly it's a 6. Mine has a lovely Burble when on override which I can just hear on yours.

​@@KIOWA_BIKELIFE I also hear unbalanced and badly jetted carbs, you can hear that at idle, take offs and slightly opened throttle. My stock Bandit 97" doesn back fire, only when I want. Really you can hear that missfiring at slightly opened throttle, after you give it more, the membranes open up and let more fuel in and the missfire stops.

Your bike isn't running right dude. You need to adjust the carburettor idle screw which is in the middle of the carbs underneath. Also look at adjusting the throttle return screw. The backfiring isn't a problem, my bandit does the same. It has a Venom exhaust kit. Loud as fuck too. Miłego dnia 😉

So 185 km/hour is topspeed then I guess..

I'm changing the oil almost every winter... So this shouldn't cause the problem. I'll definitely replace the clutch plates this year ✌🏻
