Very informative video mate. My ECU circuit is screwed up(short due to water)..It's a 2007 model.. Looking fr a new one to replace it...any leads will be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Mine made the same 179hp with Brocks Alienhead full system with airbox mod.

Very nice. I have an all original with original exhaust wondering what a flash can do for that?

Cool, informative video. What mods besides the Yoshi endcan did the bike have? Did the bike have a free flowing sports air filer, any airbox mod, decat, PAIR removed?

Hi Andrei, the PAIR system was bypassed during tuning and there was no Cat. From memory there were no other major mods :)

@@crispysmotorcycles thanks for the reply. In this case the power gain is all the more more impressive since the stock airbox has very small inlets which suck hot air above the engine. The airbox mod with cold air intake from the sides si a very popular and worthwile mod on the King.

Yes I have seen this Mod. It may well have already been done to this King. Either way in stock form, there would be no way to fully take advantage of it without lifting the restrictions with a flash :)

Having hard time believing that the gain of HP is equivalent on an otherwise stock BKing that of the gain with airbox mod and fueling. Airbox mod is a must for these figures. Stock airbox is extremely restrictive. . Theoretical top speed is just that. Theoretical. You cant just point at the end of the curve where it puts out less power actually and say thats what it will do. Too much air is being pushed by this bike and will top out at 180Mph in 5th gear and will not be able to go any faster in 6th with the stock gearing as its too long for its HP. I'm certain that the airbox was previously modded, otherwise its a good informative video. Huge gains can be achieved on the "cheap" on this bike for sure.

Thanks for the comment GerBeGurGya. 😊 I do agree, although the top speed on the Dyno isn’t Theoretical, it was actually doing 192 mph. Would it do this on the road with all that added wind resistance? Nope, but I thought I was an interesting fact to share nonetheless 😎 Either way this is one very underestimated motorcycle 👍🏻

@@crispysmotorcycles It is called theoretical as while the bike in theory just by looking at the gearing and the achieved top RPM in the highest gear could reach that speed, as it did on the dyno in real life it can not achieve it. :) With short velocity stacks this bike can rev to 11K where with stock gearing could reach a "theoretical" 205Mph. Yes bike has a lot of potential and can be modified for another 12-15HP just shy of 200HP on the rear wheel.

The bike was stationary on the Dyno so if we are going to be entirely accurate, it did 0 miles in an hour! We have some very steep and long hills here in the UK though so 192 mph is still in the realms of possibility 😆

@@crispysmotorcycles I have to argue that even with 197WHp what I have reaching that speed without any fairing is not possible on this bike. 180 is what it can do with short gearing and it will do 180 in 5th on stock gearing and nothing more in 6th. Stock gearing is too long for this power as several tons of air has to be pushed. Short gearing gets there much faster tho and unlike the stock geared bike can actually reach the theoretical max speed. which is 183 @10.6K. The power required over 160 grows exponentially.

@@crispysmotorcycles Im not sure if ecu was rewritten, i was not present, maby i should try another garage, I have to say, i bought it in 2009 and its all stock, 2 years ago it started not running clean, mostly on highway around 120 kph, thats anoying :)

Would'nt it better you've had measured the baseline in 4th gear where are no restrictions in the orig. maps? So its relatively pointless.

This video was intended to show the ECU flash process and the gains possible when derestricted and since it’s more heavily restricted in the upper gears, that’s obviously where the runs were made. It’s not about the peak bhp numbers though. Getting the AFR tuned correctly and all the other things we can do with the ECU are what make the difference in power and smoothness in every gear. :)
