If you are going to react to Gimme Chocolate (and I hope you do!) please react to the bluray version of the performance and not the music video. They are basically the same except the bluray uses live audio from the concert and the music video just uses the album version for the audio. This link includes the intro and the whole thing has English subs. It's also upscaled to 60 frames per second so it looks great too! Regarding udon, the question was "Kitsune Udon (literally: Fox noodles) is udon with deep fried tofu, so what's in Chikara Udon (Power noodles)? The answer is it's udon with rice cakes. Su's answer was basically "it's called power udon because the noodle man uses a lot of power to knead the noodles".

For future reference, the Cute and Funny Moments videos on that channel don't have captioned subs. If it's not already hard-subbed on the actual video clip, it's not there. All the videos are absolute treasure troves of Sakura Gakuin and BabyMetal, though. :) Some of them (such as Yui and Moa) even have 2 videos. Nene has 3. :D

The thing with that "death" is it just fits to metal and they do it on purpose - it's not an accent! When Suzuka says: Su-Metal desu (spoken like Su-Metal dess, cuz the u is silent) that means: I am Su-Metal in japanese but it sounds much like death, that's why they actually say death after their names. It's a word-game.

Isn't it amazing to see ordinary Suzuka Nakamoto and then see Queen Su-metal? What a contrast...lol It's amazing to me 🤘😷👍

Mori-sensei, the teacher, is the guy who comes up with the skits for Sakura Gakuin. He had special relationship with Nakamoto as he calls her, there was more back and forth between the two than the others. Mori is a comedian and has a radio show, and has talked about Su on occasion.

@@chrisharris1522 Mori Sensei has faced far worse than Kano. What about all the physical abuse he has suffered on the receiving end of Marin Hidaka's supernatural powers? Then there was the not one but two times he was murdered, first by Momoe Mori and then Soyoka Yoshida.

I learned something interesting about Su-metal. I was listening to the principal’s speech at Su’s graduation from Sakura Gakuin followed by Su’s own speech. Both mentioned her traveling from her home in Hiroshima to be in SG. Just for fun I looked up where Sakura Gakuin was and how long a trip it was. I was surprised, Sakura Gakuin is in Tokyo -- which means Su had a FOUR hour train ride one way, (eight hour round trip by rail and ten hours one way by car!) to be in Sakura Gakuin. Think of that, a twelve - thirteen year old making that commute. It is a good thing that Japan has good high-speed trains or Su-Metal may not have been at SG, or BabyMetal.

Su commuted a lot, but she also stayed over in the dorms, along with many of the other members who didn't live in or near Tokyo. When her sister Himeka joined Nogizaka46 in 2011, Su, Himeka and their Mom moved from Hiroshima to Tokyo. The eldest Nakamoto daughter helped run the family home back in Hiroshima.

Nice one, thanks! We usually idealize SU-METAL as the Queen and the metal goddess she actually is, in opposition to Moimoi's cuteness. But Suzuka's kawaiiness is really extreme, not to mention she's so good at comedy, playing here a dorky / clown role.

In case you were wondering the angel thing in a lot of these videos was auditions they did for a mobile carrier ad campaign, somewhere out there on the inter web is the final product starring Yui and Moa, sadly I don’t have a link and if I dare post it right now KZread would see it as a threat to humanity and instantly delete my comment, but maybe someone else can share. Warning it could make your head esplode

About Power Udon from 9:11, Udon(うどん) is white and thick noodle, and one of Japanese noodles made from flour. Power Udon is a noodle with topping rice cake( Mochi, もち). rice cake has high calorie and is a origin of energy, so named power. Su's answer is that Power Udon is made by craftsmen forcibly, and after that great work was recognized, named Power Udon. BTW, it appears that Kitsune Udon before Power Udon. Kitsune means Fox as you know. But here Kitsune has another meaning. It means Abura-Age(油揚げ). Abura-Age is deep fried Tofu and in this case this is boiled with soup of soy sauce and a little bit sugar and topping it. We say it Kitsune in Japanese.

All 3 of them have fallen on stage at one point. Well, in Yui's case she fell OFF the stage lol. Su fell at the end of the 2nd night of the Tokyo Dome. It's not shown on the Bluray of course but there is fan cam footage of it. Luckily she didn't get hurt.

Read an interview of Mori-sensei, he wrote the scripts for Sakura Gakuin. He always called her Nakamoto on the show (Also from an interview).Also she is the Klutz of Babymetal.

🦊🦊🦊 in this "Angel of Light" commercial," Yui and Moa" co-stars with "ichro". Hiroshima-Tokyo, where "Su" passed, is 700km-800km away. I think it took 4-5 hours on the Shinkansen even at that time. i'm using a translator to comment, so I'm sorry if you didn't communicate well

I'm sorry, but they say "Desu", is a final word in japanese for finish the apresentation, but sound like "death", it's cool that fact (search in google for more details). 2:58 Babymetal is also for babies ! I've seen a KZread video with a little baby, a few months old at the most. When they turned off Babymetal playing she would cry, when they played other music she would cry. When they played Babymetal she was quiet :-) 8:55 no it's worse: she already knows Suzuka is that type of person that she forgets all kinds of things LOL

After you watch alot of it, you'll notice they keep stuff that happens in Sakura Gakuin very separate from Babymetal. Sakura Gakuin isn't about Babymetal, it's about the school and their performances. It's a matter of respect and honor to those people who work tirelessly to make the show fun for people to watch and not rely on the popularity of Babymetal. Yeah, it's neat if we see some BM in Sakura Gakuin, but that's not what the show is about. It's not fair to the 9 other girls on the show. Su-chan, Moa-chan, and Yui-chan never ever talk about BM on the show, even in the behind the scenes footage. I've become a big fan of Sakura Gakuin and many of the members there who have chosen their own life path after they graduated from Sakura Gakuin.

Who knew this little innocent girl could command an entire concert filled with grown adult metalheads and create mosh pits with her own hands.

15:00 Magz is wrong, Moa is pretty much the only one who usually says "Death." Su and Yui pretty much always say/said "desu," barring a few exceptions.

nice reaction. You gotta love the way Moa fakes being up set with Su forgetting to include her name. Moa just excepts that Su and loves her anyway. The scene where she with another guy and they're a little dressed in costume I believe is from ASH the acting school Su went to. There are clips from those days too. Not alot though. I watched the whole first season of the show Miyoshi is on and I'm still not sure who she is on the show. Is she the one playing the forensics Doc ?

Let me be your killjoy today. Guys and gals - this is far distant past! Nice to have memories of just a decade ago, but this kind of emotions are gone forever! Regrettably BABYMETAL and its origins reached us by a time delay of about 6 to 8 years. This period is lost. Sue and Moa wouldn't be amused to see their fans always sticking in SG. They would like to see themselves just at the contemporary level they perform for example in Budokan Tokyo nowadays. Rightly.

Su and Moa are more concerned about fans saying that BABYMETAL isn't as good since Yui left, since they are working very hard on the current version. They've never said anything negative about Sakura Gakuin, or fans love for the group. In fact both Su and Moa (along with the other members and graduates) contributed to the Sakura Gakuin 10th Anniversary book by answering questions, and saying how much the experience meant to them. If you've attended a BABYMETAL show, you may have seen Moa go over to fans waving one of the Sakura Gakuin flags, especially if that fan is a young girl. To quote Moa "Sakura Gakuin is the best!".

What exactly is it that has given you any idea that you're accurately representing how Su or Moa feel about this, Klaus? I haven't seen or heard anything to indicate that you're correct. It's not lost, and the emotions aren't gone forever. They're rekindled every time someone finds new joy with their interest in it. We appreciate their past, and their present. Why do you want to kill anyone's joy over this?
