My French is not good enough to argue with an officer of the law! It is all to do with type approval. In Europe, A-frames are seen as recovery devices only. Just this last winter, we met two couples who were stopped and fined. One in Spain and one in France.

I had to remove my Smart Car and drive it through the Mont Blanc tunnel but I still think it was about me paying the extra toll! No fine tho.
Torbay council have lost 52% of it's annual central government grant since 2010, carparking revenue is unfortunately an essential revenue stream for them to bring in funds to pay for essential services.

Exmouth is a beautiful place though! But now it is very difficult to visit in a motorhome and park! It’s a shame isn’t it?
Nothing environmentally friendly about EVs unless you think death and slavery is ok! 😢

Absolutely not ok. We have a responsibility to look after our planet. I’ll keep carrying my baked bean tins down the drive on bin day if that’s ok.
