Sustainable Development Goal SDG 2 Zero Hunger

This video provides a brief introduction to SDG 2 and its targets.
Wondering what SDGs are?
Today, societies are facing unprecedented and pressing social and environmental challenges, which have the potential to put a question mark over our very existence. To deal with these challenges, the United Nations has put forth an ambitious Agenda 2030 which lists out the Sustainable Development Goals agreed on by stakeholders from around the world in 2015. These goals are a call for action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity and overall transformative action towards sustainability. The world is not on track to achieve Zero Hunger by 2030. If recent trends continue, the number of people affected by hunger would surpass 840 million by 2030. According to the World Food Programme, 135 million suffer from acute hunger largely due to man-made conflicts, climate change and economic downturns. Source: United Nations
