    Shouldnt they build more apartments instead of single family houses, as well as mixed zoning, looks simular to american subburbs which are highly not energy efficient.

    I see people got cars in front of their houses. The fact you can rent or share a car, easily accessible is quite cool, as you might need car only to carry groceries 2-3 times a week or when something urgent happen. Japan got proper public transport infrastructure, so they can live without a car most of the time.

    Japan have a very unique transportation system so some of them don't need cars lol
